To describe the theme song as "haunting" is an understatement; a brilliant composition that depicts Shetland as it is, stunningly beautiful. A gripping series with an amazing cast. Douglas Henshall - iconic actor, and the best portrayal of Jimmy Perez will be sadly missed.

I wish Douglas Henshall would change his mind and return to Shetland. He looks the part and IS the part. For me, it's one of the best TV series I've ever watched. Great locations, fantastic actors, with a great piece of opening music... I couldn't ask for anything more.

I hated it when I learned season 7 was it with the same cruix. I'm glad I bought all seven w/subs DVD's FOR USA. An excellent series that they should have extended. I will miss it for it is hard enough to get quality programming from the UK.

Μέσα από τα αριστουργήματα σου, νιώθουμε έντονη την παρουσία σου..Από άλλους που πέρασαν και δεν ακουμπησαν υπάρχει τόσο υλικό (στην ΕΡΤ..)..και από εσένα, που άξιζες πολύ, δεν έχουν σωθεί παρά ελάχιστα. από συνεντεύξεις σου, αφιερώματα κλπ...Θα πρέπει να μάθουμε κάποια στιγμή ποιοί είναι αυτοί που έκαναν το παν να ξεχαστείς με τα χρόνια..μα δεν θα τους περάσει...Κάθε γενιά που θα έρχεται, θα σε σηκώνει ακόμα πιο ψηλά και θα σε έχει φάρο φωτεινό..

Από παιδάκι που είχα δει την ταινία πρώτη φορά ,με εντυπωσίασε η μουσική αυτή.Διαχρονικο διαμάντι που αντικατοπτρίζει και το ήθος εκείνης της εποχής.

Μουσικό χαλί σε δύο φοβερές σκηνές.Στην αρχή όπου το ζευγάρι είναι στην διώρυγα της Κορίνθου και ο Καζάκος εκμυστηρεύεται τον έρωτα του για την Καρεζη και στο φινάλε του έργου όπου εμφανίζεται ο Καζάκος,ενώ η Καρέζη τον θεωρεί νεκρό.Οσκαρικες σκηνές!!!Γενικά η ταινία είναι επική!!!Δημόπουλος,Φώσκολος,Καζάκος,Καρέζη,Κατράκης,Μπάρκουλης,Αντωνόπουλος,Καλογήρου,Καπνίσης!!!!
