Good video man. Mind me asking if you still have it? If so how’s it holding up? And is it the pro model? Thanks!
@2strokelives
@2strokelives Жыл бұрын
I got the Pro Model assuming it would be my long term bike and sure enough it has been. Still have it and ride it all the time. Frame still great, wheels still true, which blows my mind, and bike still rides so good. I have only changed brake pads and brake flush, chain and cassette, rear derailleur from rock hit in the rock gardens, and tires. This winter will be all new bearings. They are still smooth but I know I am getting close to time. I have 3 ebikes and this one is the primary. I am actually selling my haibike downhill ebike to get another Tazer so the wife can ride the same bike as me. I still have no regrets. Battery seems to be holding up real good, maybe a few miles less that when new but I am also stronger now from riding all the time so it is not a problem. The new Tazer Aluminum looks promising but is almost 10 lbs heavier. I will stick with their carbon since it is solid. One guy had issues with his frame but he had a tailgate pad and that stress on the head tube is where it was cracked. I have 2 batteries and take the spare on long trips and save weight by leaving it in the car on trail loops that I can swap from being at the car. 26 miles in eco with 3k elevation climb on 1 battery.

Do the lifts have bars? Not sure how comfortable I am on chair with no bar. I have done this once before and would prefer being able to do lots of turns? You did not appear to do a lot of turns to slow down.
@2strokelives
@2strokelives Жыл бұрын
Some of the lifts have the bars others don't. Have not had any issues either way. The weight of the bike on the seat makes it difficult to lift off the seat when in the air. It doesn't go anywhere even when chair is swinging. I do turns but love speed and jumps. My nephew loves turning back and forth.

The mechanical brakes are low end and work okay. I prefer hydraulic and will upgrade next as those are most important now. Drive train will be later when it's worn unless I sweet deal comes up. I upgraded the rotors right off the bat and made a difference but mechanical needs to go.

Interesting you don't see this bike on most of the top bike reviews. Im not sure why? seems like a lot of bike for the money. Thinking of buying one so its good to hear some first hand experience instead of an advertising video. Thanks for taking the time to do this! I see you have the extra battery, how far do you make it on a single battery? Im a bigger rider too and Im afraid the 500mah battery isn't going to do the job over going with a 700 mah specialized. how much was your extra battery and is it a pain in the ass to carry?
@2strokelives
@2strokelives 4 жыл бұрын
I ride trail and boost a lot. I get 13 miles on one battery with 1,600 feet climb...in boost. The extra battery fits in my camel pack and once straps are tight I forget it is in there most of the ride. Extra battery was $450 which is cheap compared to some others. No tools to change battery on trail. Door off, key to unlock, pull battery out and charged back in. Takes me 5 minutes from taking my pack off to back riding. If I am doing loops, I leave it in the car and swap on one of my stops. I did a 20 mile ride using 1 battery and over half the second. I was so beat, it was like 4 hours of riding. Intense let's you send the bike back if you dont like it so try it out. I will never get rid of mine I love it that much.
@polgasen
@polgasen 4 жыл бұрын
So battery is just 13 miles? Even on eco mode? Or can you save battery if you dont use the turbo mode?
@IntenseCycles1993
@IntenseCycles1993 3 жыл бұрын
@@polgasen Boost mode will use the battery a lot faster than Eco mode. In our tests over the years we have seen 30 miles and 3,500ft elevation gain on a single charge with Eco/trail combination pretty consistently. For boost mode only and hard riding it's normally half that.

@2strokelives
@2strokelives 6 жыл бұрын
Snō Man I am 6'4 as well. When they built it for me they added a tall boy seat from 2wheel parts. I am also 230lbs so I had to get the big bore kit for the 49cc with race head from tbolt to pull me up hills. One time application fee with DMV for motorized bicycle of $18 and they sent me a plate. Real easy, I have done 2 of them. I also carry insurance since I ride on a lot of streets which cost around $100 a year. You also need a minimum of M2 license if you don't already have a M1.
