I’m of really following the point at 18:00 minutes.? We are scheduling the job with no deposit ? Are we scheduling a visit to do the actual job or just an appointment to make a decision? Is it a phone call or is it a meeting

Why do you think owners are scoffing so much at the idea of call by call? As a homeowner, this to me seems like top service to the customer. I don’t understand why this is so foreign to hvac companies.

I just had an old oil boiler that broke, and it was so old, it wasn't worth fixing, so I made the switch to a natural gas boiler. The whole conversion, having the old stuff removed, and the new stuff put in, was 15 grand. He's saying it cost half as much just to put in a water heater? No way.

How is that possible ? Introduce themselves ? They grew up checking 1-2 minute videos and commenting whatever they feel entitled to do so, without checking if the story is true, if the people are credible, if the situation is sensitive. Introduction was never an option.

So unfortunate that you’d overprice such an easy job. FYI a 50 gallon water heater sells for under $700 and the install kit sells for under $70. Can be installed under an hour with regular household tools.

Some things people will buy no matter what the price is... mattresses and water heaters for instance. You gonna sleep on the floor and take cold showers otherwise?. The best way to keep prices low is to create a business atmosphere that allows competition to flourish.

@@Gunter_Custom what would you expect someone to come to your house, drain down and remove your old water heater, install a new quality unit, replace isolation valves, flue vent, thermal expansion protection, ensure everything is up to code, CO detectors in your home and in the correct spots, drip pans, relief drains etc, etc. Even without extended warranties or service and maintenance. What should that cost?
