Informative video. However, what's with the freak ANNOYING zoom in/zoom out on your dial? Very annoying and has stopped me from bothering to watch anymore, the 'style' you're applying is something that was common in the 80's with people making their own website and hence died with the dinosaurs, catch up!

Hey Ray, thanks for this video. Do you really have 450k invested in ETF’s? Can you please give little breakdown? Thanks:)
@raycorc
@raycorc 23 күн бұрын
Hey Heypreet I did have a large amount invested in ETFs about 2.5 years ago. I think it was 300-400k, maybe more - I forget the exact amount, but I ended up selling a bunch of it to put a 700k deposit on our family home. I am still a fan of ETFs, but I wanted to buy a family home!

I'm 49 yrs old and my super balance is $650K. My wife just turned 50 and her super balance is $550K - lower because she took a year off for maternity leave and her income was lower than mine over the past 25 years. with re-investment of dividends/interest, employer and personal contributions... these figures should double every 10 years if 7% pa return is compounded. I DO NOT understand why your stats are so low.

The reason the women catch up that fast is because they are divorcing their husbands and cleaning out their ahusband's ssets. Either that or their Husbands have died and inherited all the assets.

The reason why women catches up is because on retirement, men are still expected to provide so they spend their super at a higher rate than women. One example is me.

2 important points that are missing from this. When it comes to certification, only deal with someone that is REBAA certified. Also a buyers agent that gets paid as a percentage of the sale is a conflict of interest, don't use them - if they think they should do this I don't see how they can be trusted to negotiate the lowest price for you.
@raycorc
@raycorc 2 ай бұрын
Yep agree I used REBAA certified for mine but I don’t think it’s compulsory - I didn’t decide based on that and I know good BA’s who aren’t (and vice versa) Certainly doesn’t hurt And yep direct fee is the only way I’d use one, thanks for watching the video

@@raycorc the opposite of this is when the not so well to do parents sacrifice heaps to put their kid in a private school and they hound the kid on grades and homework and everything. Absolutely turns them off education. In the long term. I’m fairly successful (35, paid off mortgage, earn 100k plus) and I didn’t even finish high school and no one has ever asked me about high school in job interviews.

Check Google or Glassdoor for the typical salary ranges I know lawyers generally don’t have flexible working hours. I’ve had clients who are IP lawyers and some worked crazy hours and others did more contract work where it was more flexible Either way focus on something you’d enjoy - no point doing bigger hours in something you hate

Hey mate, genuinely helpful video. If I was living in NSW would I be able to get a grant for a different state, e.g. Victoria??
@raycorc
@raycorc 3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching mate - we’ll potentially but it’s only for a house that you’re going to live in (for 6 or 12 months minimum for most states) So you’d have to move to Vic for a period first to live in it And you can’t get the grant twice so if you used it for Vic that’s fine but won’t be able to use it again in NSW for example
