Imo, the story is fine, and good, but typical of Square of this time - presented like 💩 They really should have had 2-3 hours in the beginning that started with Fang/Vanille vs presenting them as flashbacks. It would have introduced us to the world and to the story easier.

Literally, your first sentence is incorrect. This is definitely just a remastered. All of the characters Lupin are the same PSP movements with an HD skin put over it. So there are some remade assets, which is fantastic, but this is decidedly just a very good remaster.

Born in 1994 . This was one of the first games that blew my little mind off the hinges . I never got far as a kid . But the sense of magic and wonderment this game brings me is like nothing else . U just beat bg3 and played this after. And I still didn't feel a drop in game value

There's really no excuse not to try FF7, it isn't a PS1 game stuck on the PS1, you can get it on the Switch, the PS4, the Xbox One, even on Steam. And it only costs around $10

this is a great video, very well made, ive been on the fence for ff6 just due to how old it is, but ill def give it a try, i have no shame in saying i use mod for ff7 in order to enjoy it as im going through it right now, hopefully there are some QOL stuff i can mod in for ff6

Let's kick this off by saying that we're talking about a game released TWENTY-FOUR years ago. For PlayStation 1. A game that had to compete not only with the relase of FFX on PS2, but with the PS2 entirely. And here we are, still talking about this game well into the 2020's. I call that a win. I definitely recommend getting this on Steam and get the Moguri mod to enhance the visuals and speed up the battle system. Hey, don't give me that look, I never said the game was perfect :P The Steam version also features an auto-battle system, which I don't particularly approve of, but for people who are no-good at JRPGs it may give them an incentive to at least try and enjoy the story. It's worth it, I promise.
