As you come into Omaha, from the East (Iowa) on I-80, just on the hill on the North side, is Kenefick Park. It has on display Union Pacific's (hq in Omaha) two most famous engines. The emd dda 40x and Big Boy #4023.

The grain silos are just on the North of I-80 at approximately 35thish street. Essentially West of highway 75.

The Omaha zoo, year in/year out, is always ranked in the top 5 in the world. This year, it's ranked #1. The dome's main floor is for desert animals. It's 'basement' is 'creatures of the night.' Take the 13th st exit (off I-80) and it will be a couple blocks to the South.

I-80 is 75mph until the 370 highway (156thish st) exit, heading East into Omaha.

Nebraska hasn't had too many hurricanes lately. However, the last five weeks have had a LOT more tornados than normal for the begining of tornado season. Last spring (& winter) were extremely dry, this spring has been very wet. Last Friday's tornado brought with it a t-storm that had 5-9" of rain, in less than ONE hour.

You finally purchased a Very Large Crude Carrier, awesome! Keep the tree-huggers happy; fill it 1/2 full of oil and 1/2 full of window cleaner. You can tell the environmentalists that your crude carrier is indeed a clean-operating ship.

Selling ships does have its drawback. However, think about it this way: you have 5 competitors, if you sell your ship at a appropriate used price, and someone else buys it, you would have another competitor. The real world has 100s if not 1000s looking to start a shipping company for the income, and cool points. But here, the UI doesn't let a dynamic as such. When you start new games, always go for 10 (the most possible) competitors. The competitors not being able to accumulate money reminds me of TO2, even on Hard Mode, there wasn't a competitor worth its weight in feathers. To sell a ship, you got to sell it cheap, at just under what your competitors currently have. Bank points: You need to get 60 to be able to get a loans without have to put down 50% of the new ship's values. Points are accumulated by paying your monthly bank note. 1 point per loan payment made per month. You may have a maximum of 3 outstanding loans at one time. 3 payments made per month is 3 bank points that you get. There is not particular value in paying off a loan, unless you are wanting a larger loan, for a bigger ship. Paying off your loan in full only gets you 1 bank point. The UI needs work, but the game does have some current, and potentially future, coolness to playing.

When selling a ship, the only buyers that exist are your competitors. Look at their bank accounts to see the max amount that you can sell it. Buying- It's best to buy one that's on auction. However, beware, do not place a bid early, otherwise a competitor will drive up the price. This is what you do: 1) See how many days are remaining until the auction ends, wait until that last day. 2) On the last day, do not fast forward time, just play on the slowest speed. 3) Be ready to hit pause (the space bar.) When the day's time gets to one click before ending, pause the game. 4) Lastly, place a bid for $500,000 (the smallest increment) over the current listed price. 5) Unpause. Time will immediately move forward to the next day. The ship is yours, for the lowest amount for which it can be bought.

Also, if you're taking a long-distance contract, and you'll need to stop for fuel along the way, add a stop BEFORE you leave with the cargo. The game CURRENTLY doesn't allow you to add a stop along the way.

I got this game a week ago. The game itself has great ideas, however, the UI is currently uncool.

Save yourself some effort, here's how: You're currently looking at other ports by using the "Move To Port" option on the right side of the screen. Under the contracts screen, even if the port that you're at has none, instead of just "move to port" to the next, you can look at *contracts* at other ports by going to the top of the screen (in the contracts screen) under "Change Port." It will show you the contracts available at other ports, listed by how far away from the current port at which you are. Also, just going to another port, there may or may not be a contract still available. Under the "Change Port" option, you can select the contract, at a different port, so that you won't have to worry about it vanishing. You'll just simply pick up that contract when you arrive. I like to 'stop at port' just in case another contract becomes available in the interim.
