Nice flight! Do you find it hard to set it up with Radiomaster? I'm not 100% sold on this one but I like the direction they are going with UMX olanes. The prices, not so much 😂
@RCscale101
@RCscale101 5 ай бұрын
Thanks! I love Radiomaster: there is a lot of information around and customization is endless if you wish to do so. For the Mini Draco, I simply duplicated my UMX Timber profile and I just needed to reverse flaps and that was it: SAFE, Throttle cut, Rates (% to adjust) etc were all working straight away. The Mini Draco is better than my Timber in every way plus it is much more precise in aerobatics. As a mini bush plane, it's a winner. Price, I agree, it is more than regular UMX, but it provides much more, also in scale details. But I "saved" money by buying Radiomaster instead of Spektrum... I'm telling me this at every RC purchase 🙃

I just built a box out of that box that my sport cub came in. the radian fits perfectly without taking off the wing.

Great! It's nice to have it ready to fly in seconds. My goal was to take the box on a commercial plane so the box needed to be as small as possible to fit in the luggage. Been travelling with it in many places since!

Your tires seem to be slipping on the rim in multiple instances. (at 3:15 for example) You could tighten that and use your power more efficiently I think :) Nice spot, nice video and nice rig. 👍👍
@RCscale101
@RCscale101 7 ай бұрын
Exactly and well spotted! I am happy you commented about that! I actually noticed that while editing this video. I tightened the rim and also added a drop of CA to remedy for this. Otherwise I like driving slowly and watch tires grip and shocks at work but yes I see your point! 😀 Thank for your comment!!

Good video 👍 Tolerable music, I hate when they put dance or techno music in videos it drives me crazy 😵‍💫 for me it makes them unwatchable I like instrumentals or rock type soundtracks with just a little bit of the vehicle sound in the back. Just my two cents. I Will check out some of your other videos

This dual Motor Setup will Work as a Differenzial and Not true 4x4.. i would Connect both to a Spur Gear and then to a transfare Case.
@RCscale101
@RCscale101 11 ай бұрын
Would be great but not enough space for all this extra components to fit with 370 motors. 4x4 is very common and I like the idea of having 2 independent electric motors! Thanks for stopping by!
@aeQuator
@aeQuator 11 ай бұрын
it think it can be done, if some one has the motivation, some tools and a little money to spend..@@RCscale101 These 2 motor setups are very command knowlage, but nobody uses them due to the lack of power, compared to a single motor setup..not that 2 motor are not powerful enough, it's the way they act, haveing them connected like this...But what every fits for you is totly fine, don't want to sound negative or something like this...
@RCscale101
@RCscale101 11 ай бұрын
@@aeQuator Thanks! I guess you could adapt and fit a readily available transfer case from WPL and use the original 270 motors. I wanted something different from what's available in stores though and my experience with this setup has been really good and super fun to build. The difficult part in the design was to have the motors angled so the driveshafts are operating correctly in all situation, hence the iterative design. The dual ESC controls them very smoothly. Prior to this, I did a similar conversion on a Oshkosh truck (video somewhere on my channel). These cars are still alive and as strong as ever. ✌🙏

I thought the aim of the Disco was to fly it using the mobile phone network and Internet. This way you can fly unlimited distance at a relatively low altitude and no loss of connection. In this video 4,000 feet altitude is way excessive since you only went 3 Kms distant from the Home point. 🤔😳🙄🙄🙄😏🇬🇧
@RCscale101
@RCscale101 Жыл бұрын
That's totally correct for a 4G mod Disco. This one here is an original version (unmodded) that relies on wifi between the remote and the wing. My goal here was to test the limit and test the return to home feature, not to fly far. Going high requires more energy that flying straight for sure ✌

Great video! Just ordered a FunWing from MrMPX. Can't wait to fly it. I spent 2 years in Iceland in the late '70s. I recall visiting a fairly small grove of trees off the south side of the road from Keflavik to Reykjavik. I wonder if that was Heiðmörk. If so, it has really grown. Beautiful place to fly.

Hey Hank, thanks for your comments! Wow lucky you have been in Iceland in the '70s. It must have changed so much since. You may be right?! Heiðmörk is close to Hafnarfjörður, just inland (south as you say). Enjoy your funwing, it is a great fun and flies so well.
