1 cement, 2 sand and 3 gravel. With the cool weather right now, I leave it in the mold for two days. In the summer only one day. Thanks for watching.

I assume it’s the same as an exterior or outside seam. And I assume you cut it as you are removing the latex from the original.

It's just molding latex. Being on a high table it was harder to strip. If it was on the floor, I could get better leverage, and it would slip off easier. Thanks for watching.

When making this kind of mold do you add the latex sections between the legs after you've painted it's belly?

Very nice. What was the spray that was used on the head when removing the mold and why was it needed since it was applied to the outside?

It is a mixture of soap and water. It keeps the latex from binding up on itself, especially on thick latex. Thanks for watching.

@@alamoldmoldmakers I had always heard that "soap" (not sure which kinds) were a little bad for latex since most soaps have a small amount of petroleum in them which is not compatible with latex. I'd like to try making a mold from a resin statue but I'm not sure what to put on the resin statue first so that the latex will come off when ready.

Cool! I’m trying to figure out how to mold epoxy with a silicone mold and I found this video by chance. I’m not trying anything nearly that detailed. You really pulled on that silicone to get it clear of the dog! It more than answered my question about how tough silicone is! How many times can you use that mold? Nice work!

This is not a silicone mold. It is made from rubber latex. With proper care you should get a couple hundred pours out of it. Thanks for watching.
