i totally agree about the "too trendy" items: they make the outfit dated, and it's not a good thing if it's not retro/inspired by a specific time period. i tend to aquire statement pieces for my closet, but the obvious things that were in for the season sometimes make their way in. i have a pair of those dreaded banana jeans everyone was buying in 2020 (and i kinda liked them at the time), but i have basically no use for them since last fall ps: also congratulations! you look so cute and precious holding your baby 😭🖤

To dress “ edgy” you stich on goregrind patches all over your clothes and don’t wash them and make your hair stick up everywhere and have some patches hats with punk bands and have piercings on your nose and tongue and have pants that are 6 times bigger than you’re self
