@MeggerLATAM6 ай бұрын

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:00 📅 This webinar discusses photovoltaic system testing, fault location, insulation tests, and equipotential systems. 01:23 📧 The session will be recorded, and participants will receive a link to the recording and a certificate of attendance. The audience can also fill out a survey and request presentation and technical article copies. 03:48 👩💼 The host is Daniela de Vacas, the marketing specialist for Latin America, and the panelist is Engineer Julio Jiménez, who is currently experiencing technical issues. 08:11 🌞 Common photovoltaic system failures include connector issues, module glass breakage, incorrect or missing installations, cable damage, and more. 12:28 📊 An audience poll asks about the types of inspections they perform on photovoltaic systems, including visual inspection, continuity, polarity, voltage, current, insulation resistance, and more. 16:17 📜 Various international standards and guidelines govern photovoltaic system testing and maintenance, with IEC 62446 being a significant one. 18:05 🧪 IEC 62446 divides photovoltaic system testing into categories, including visual inspection, continuity, polarity, voltage, and short-circuit tests, with additional optional tests for specific systems. 18:47 📊 Historical data management is crucial for making informed decisions about photovoltaic systems. 19:13 🔍 Additional tests for fault localization include curve tracing and thermography, with specific thermal resolution requirements. 21:40 🕵️ Visual inspection is essential for detecting issues in large photovoltaic parks, especially with visually detectable panels. 22:23 ⚡ Transition towards thermography has increased due to ease of recording with drones or manual cameras. 25:13 📏 Clamp meters are advantageous for measuring current without interrupting circuits and offer Bluetooth data transfer capabilities. 26:10 ☀️ Irradiance meters help assess the performance of solar panels in the field. 26:51 🌡️ Thermal imaging identifies abnormal visual effects, such as hotspots and diode issues in panels. 29:24 📈 Increasing voltage levels above 1500V in photovoltaic systems presents challenges due to limited measurement instruments. 30:49 🤝 Continuity tests during earth resistance measurements can be a healthy practice to detect issues. 31:46 ⚡ Different methods, such as two-terminal, three-terminal, and four-terminal, are used to measure resistance, each with its applicable range and limitations. 36:07 🧲 Four-terminal measurements involve special probes that ensure effective contact and eliminate corrosion, especially important for aluminum components in photovoltaic systems. 36:52 ⚡ Conducting four-terminal tests in photovoltaic systems can eliminate resistance, allowing for testing over long distances and detection of small connection changes. 38:29 🔥 Increasing current and temperature can lead to increased resistance and power losses in electrical systems. 43:36 🌞 Thermal imaging inspections should ideally be performed from both sides of solar panels for a more comprehensive assessment. 45:24 💡 Terminal guard usage is common in insulation testing, helping detect changes in resistance and identifying potential faults. 49:45 🔄 Random testing of solar panels in the field is essential to ensure they are in good condition. 52:19 🔌 Proper connector selection and installation are crucial to prevent hot spots and ensure system reliability. 54:22 📏 The recommended insulation resistance values depend on the system, but practical experience often suggests higher standards for reliability. 01:12:26 📅 You can contact the presenter for product information using the calendar icon shown on the screen. 01:12:55 🔌 Electroluminescence testing can be done randomly to check the status of solar panels, and it's advisable for the initial testing of panels received. 01:13:38 🏢 Electroluminescence tests are commonly performed in the field due to the presence of more issues, but they are typically done in a laboratory. 01:14:17 🔍 There are different clamp models for measuring DC current in solar systems, such as bcm 1500s and dpm mil, suitable for various current levels. 01:15:23 ⚡ These clamps are safe for measuring up to 1500 volts and come with impedance adapters to connect directly to photovoltaic connectors. 01:16:01 🧪 Solar system testing can be done at various levels, including combiner boxes, inverters, strings, or individual panels, depending on the installation. 01:17:16 ⚡ The grounding of the enclosure in a solar park depends on the approved design, and it can be interconnected with the photovoltaic system's potential equipment or kept separate. 01:19:26 📝 There are guidelines for safe isolation procedures during testing, but it's recommended to follow local electrical safety standards and the ANSI/IEEE 62.446 standard. 01:21:06 📅 Solar panels are typically guaranteed for 20 years by manufacturers, but their actual lifespan can extend beyond that. 01:24:49 🌞 For thermography in solar systems, it's most effective during peak sunlight hours when irradiance levels are high, revealing issues like hotspots. 01:26:02 📋 During commissioning and operation, various tests should be conducted according to the ANSI/IEEE 62.446 standard, comparing results to design specifications. Regular visual inspections and maintenance are essential. 01:29:37 📅 Field visits and suggestions for future webinars are welcome, and the presenter's email address is available for further inquiries. 01:30:08 📩 You can request a copy of the presentation PDF in the survey, and the webinar recording will be emailed along with certificates the next day.
