I met Ed with a friend of mine Barry from England back in 1996 in states, Barry was opening on 420 kilo squat in the worlds powerlifting .not many people back then who were doing that , Ed is a true gentleman

+nicolas1999444 It is called a lowbar squat, you use your posterior chain alot morei n the movement, and you can move alot more weight. The rules says that the bottom of your ass has the be parallell to the knee or below( right me if i am wrong). Ed Coan is widely considered to be the best powerlifter of all time, so i think he knows a thing or two about squatting. Olympic lifters do not have the squat as a competition lift, they only use it in training. However, they do need to be able to squat deep in order to catch the bar in the Snatch and Clean and Jerk.

Crazy clip. Wonderful clip clip. My uncle had been a fatty. He remodeled his body from 293 lbs of pure fat into 209 lbs of pure muscle mass. I could not believe it! I just signed up myself because I'm looking to get stronger muscle mass. He used the Muscle Building Bible (Google it)...

a ectoman 165. Competed all the way up to 242. Said he was the strongest at 198 & 220, but needed some extra protection so he went up to around 235-240.

I believe the first time I saw Ed Coan lift was the YMCA Nationals in Columbus Ohio in 82 or so, I swear he lifted in the 165s? maybe 181.
