Hello this is so good i just wanna ask if how long to animated or draw ? Just beginner just pop up i use phone for a bit practice but if i have enough i could buy this draw software
@ChamumisuАй бұрын
@@Skysky-b3i Hi! If you're asking how long it takes to learn how to animate/ draw it completely depends on you! There are tons of videos online that'll teach you about drawing and animation principles online. I personally use Krita as a drawing software because it's free and coloring is very easy.

Really wonderful video. Very well paced, and entertaining to listen to while I did my animation study.. You bring up a lot of really good points here, things that I felt when I first started, and things I had to learn the hard way. Sometimes people make it look so easy, when 99% of the time, that’s not the case. I’ll definitely recommend this video for any starter animators and such! Also, on a side note, for a while I thought you were someone who had at LEAST 2K subs. Surprised me to see you’re a small channel. Definitely earned my sub, keep up the good work!
@faithminic55702 ай бұрын
I also really like the points you’ve brought up about film. I’ve been VIGOROUSLY studying film and animation for a little over 3 years, and been doing art seriously much longer. I think a common expectation people have now a days is SPEED. Everything is so fast paced, and it’s hard to wrap your head around the fact that it literally takes YEARS to get good at this stuff. It’s not easy, and it’s not fast,, another lesson I had to learn the hard way when I was beginning

Sorry for so many comments (can’t edit my comments on mobile), but I will have to disagree with you on the Aaron Blaze point. I think it’s completely fine that he does what he does (I don’t believe him an attention-seeker) and for someone wanting to learn traditional animation, his courses are extremely valuable. His animations are inspiring to lots of people. Also, I’m not sure if he would get many job opportunities. You probably already know this, but in the animation industry there aren’t many 2d animation opportunities, ESPECIALLY traditionally done ones. Btw I’m not trying to come off as rude or anything, just voicing my opinions!
@Chamumisu2 ай бұрын
@@faithminic5570 Hi! Thank you for the compliments! Yes understanding film is sooo important. The fact that I just figured that out not to long ago is blowing my mind. About Aaron, I don't have an issue with him doing what he does. I've bought courses from him too but it's just that I wouldn't expect such a senior industry animator to be on YT. I would expect them to be working at a studio or retired with residuals (maybe)? It's just sad to see that he might've been deemed obsolete in his industry bc of the 3D animation wave or been run out because of the sexism over at Disney.
@faithminic55702 ай бұрын
@@Chamumisu You're welcome! That makes sense. It is a little surprising, yes! I am not sure if he's moved over to digital 2d animation, but if he does he might find a bit higher demand for that. I think he should be looking for other jobs, yes, but that depends on him. Maybe he just wanted to sort of retire from doing industry work, but i'm not sure. Again, very good points, thank you for your time!

I think something you forgot to mention in both of these videos is that a lot of people doing art/animation on here are just hobbyists who started out in their teenage years and eventually grew up and got busy with just general life stuff (I don't even mean big, life-changing things, can be as simple as a job). I myself haven't completely quit animating (I don't do it often anymore but every now and then I still do) but I know for a fact this is how me and a lot of others got started and eventually started phasing out of/quitting animating. People grow up and set their sights on other things, and get busy with stuff like a job. Even if I had the time to do more animations, I just know I don't have the drive or motivation anymore I had as a kid as I'm too busy directing my energy towards "adulting" these days. I managed to finish two animated webseries when I was 14-20 years old but if you asked me to do that again these days I know I wouldn't be able to. None of the factors you mentioned in these videos really got me to phase out animating (though a lack of attention can certainly be demotivating, dgmw), but for me (and I think quite a few others as well) it's just a matter of growing up, less motivation/energy as we are all "adulting" and it being a hobby rather than a job for us.
@Chamumisu2 ай бұрын
I didn't even consider this! When I think about it back when I started in 2012 pretty much all the animators I came across were hobbyist. Nowadays though it seems like a lot of them are professionals/ formally trained. I haven't completely quit either and the support I've been getting recently has inspired me to try again. I'm glad none of these got you to quit! I remember watching your series All Lone Ones back in the day and really enjoying it! I guess I never considered how much life could get in the way of creating for some people to the point where they just stop. I'm glad more people are coming into the space to take up the mantle. Thank you for being a positive part of my childhood!
