Lovely dog. How’s his drive? I just rescued a 1 year old Dutch Shepard. So far he’s great. He had 0 obedience when I got him so he’s in the crate a lot when were not engaging

Are Dutchies good for novice owners cause I'm tryna decide between Czech/DDR German shepherd & Dutch shepherd. 🐺🤔But if I get The Dutch Shepherd I would want one that is a good family protector & with medium drive.

This is my first working dog but I fell into a very lucky situation as far as training. My mentor is one of the best trainers in the country for schutzhund and I've been under his guidance since Mando was 8 weeks old. I even recently got LVL 2 certified as a protection helper by him! Would I recommend a dutchie for a novice owner? No, they are a lot of dog but if you have the outlets for them for training, they are a very rewarding dog to have. btw, sorry for the late response, I rarely look at the comments and I'm always surprised to see how many views this video keeps getting lol

You shouldn’t mix his raw with dry food. They don’t digest them the same way. Either give raw pm. Dry am. Either way

Aww this is soo cute! Well done. How old is your dutch shepherd? It was refreshing to see a dutch shepherd in its natural day to day life. Usually all you see them portrayed as is police dogs, knpv, French ring, bitework etc. So it was good to see one doing normal dog stuff. He seems like a sweetheart. But i won't tell the bad guys that 😉

Sorry for the late reply! I didn’t know this video blew up lol he is currently 1 year old and we are getting ready for our BH/IGP1 in the fall. He’s definitely a sweetheart at home but a complete devil during protection.
