Thank you for the info. Any insights on why the Laurel Meadows neighborhood flooded as opposed to Artistry which did not flood? Thanks

@3gaviola Because water storm water management is not my expertise, I can only provide my observations. Laurel Meadows is at lower elevation than Artistry, they also were at the same level as Lorraine road, which was about 2-3 feet deep of water and flowed right into their entrance. I also heard, the county storm water pump for that area had failed. Artistry neighbors were devastated that this happened to Laurel Meadows, and a lot of us volunteered, donated, and brought food to them.

@crushercycles there are neighborhoods with no HOA fees. I would be happy to introduce you to some of those. One popular neighborhood that has an optional HOA is Gulf Gate. As far as flooding you never know what mother nature may bring. Even areas in a 100 year flood zone can have issues that have to do with infrastructure. I always recommend that everyone get flood insurance. If you are in an X zone (100 year) it is fairly inexpensive.
