I just got back from Westfield. My Grandparents lived at 636 Prospect Street & now my cousin & her family own the house. I hadn't been there in 38 years & it was so good to "go home" and stay at Grandma's house. I forgot how much I loved that town & it was really hard to leave & come back to where home is now in north Carolina. I miss it already & can't wait to go back soon! Tony Bennett might have left his heart in San Francisco but I left mine in Westfield NJ

Westfield is full of bigots. The whites hate when established blacks or other non-whites live there. I hated living there. If I had a penny for every n-word yelled from vehicles and nasty stares I’d be rich! Throw the whole town away!

WESTFIELD is home to many racist white people who believe they own the neighborhood. I did not see not black or brown soul. Westfield residents are racist and believe if you are black you’re there to steal or cause trouble. Westfield was the first place I lived (1946-49). I had always wanted to grow up in a place like that but we moved around a lot. I still do.

My father owned a gas station there in 80's
