This was very edifying and insightful. I agree with the majority of what was presented and think brother Pigg’s wisdom is of great value. One thing that is debated is the factor of interpretation as new interpretations have led people astray but some have led to solidifying the church’s understanding of foundational doctrines such as the Trinity, Justification by Faith Alone, among others. Needless to say that we all need to be spending time listening to the Spirit as we abide in Christ sitting at His feet to be taught in order to serve grow and help others grow!

Thank you brothers for being faithful to God’s Word and understanding it is His authority and power that is enabling the preacher to preach the Word faithfully. When it comes to preaching how much does anointing play a part in preaching? Because I have heard preachers who are very intellectually sounding and make a lot of sense but I don’t necessarily feel the power of the Spirit behind the message just a strong conviction from the preacher while I have heard other messages even from dead preachers that I feel the power and presence of the Spirit of God as they preach that moves my spirit toward self examination, repentance, and crying out to God. A follow up question would be what spiritual disciplines are most effective in helping the preacher in the pulpit?
