First half made me melancholic, mourning a gay world that once was. A world I never witnessed, because I was a kid in the 1970s. Second half made me sad and proud: gay men and lesbian women battling the aids crisis. The generation of sexually active homosexuals, paid a high price for the sexual freedom of the 1970s. Stanley Stellar says it right: "What we (gay men and women) all share is a beautiful, wonderful uniqueness and a strength, that deserves to be honored. We deserve to honor each other, we deserve to love each other. We evolved to not being a secret". For me that's the true meaning of Pride.

We are a valid human being 😃, thank you for sharing such wonderful history 🙌🙌🙌🙌, I’m 57 gay man but most of my life, I grew in mexico, so pretty much socially ignored. Now people like you can help to explain what is the truth of all 🤟🤟🤟☺️🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈

I highly recommend checking out the film I Carry You With Me. The synopsis: A love story spanning decades begins with a chance encounter between two Mexican men before ambition and societal pressure push an aspiring chef to head to New York City.

I wish I was old enough to experience the real type of cruising that was going on back then because it's not like it today it's frowned upon and I would have been in my element cuz I do love outdoor sex and fucking taking loads and my first time I saw that scene was in that Al Pacino movie cruising and then I started looking up more about it and wish I could have experienced that because I probably wouldn't be so sexually. Frustrated and deprived like I am today because in Oklahoma if you get caught you're now a sex offender and they don't care. If straight people have sex in public, just they talk at the gay ones so it's not even worth it

I gave this video a like for ONE reason. The absolute professionalism of that boom operator. He stayed focused on his job putting fuel into that F-15 despite the camera operator and the narrator.

Wow bro this is a great documentary. Well put together and very informative. My mother is from Nicaragua she got her citizenship by my grandfather fighting in World War II. When he went back he had a lot of money and he lived like a king down there . I've never been there but I always wanted to visit
