Los Lobos was one of the worst concerts I've EVER seen! They headlined some huge, weekend festival in Atlanta, partied far into the next morning, got on their tour bus and headed for their next gig in Asheville, NC. Their road crew set up WAY too many amps, and WAY too many lights for the SIGNIFICANTLY smaller indoor venue in Asheville. Even the band knew they sucked. Their musician "spokesperson" told us some advice: don't ever play at a major event, party until 5 a.m. the next morning, get on your tour bus and not wake up until you're parked in front of your next venue, then HAVE to wake up and perform again. Within the first 20 minutes of playing, he told his road crew to turn off some of the lights because they didn't NEED that many, and the band was too hot under them. Earlier that Monday afternoon, I actually wondered how they could play and party in Atlanta one night, then drive up to Asheville and be ready for their gig the following night. I just caught them on a bad day. To their credit, I WAS impressed by the musician who offered an apology via his advice.
