Bought the frame, built the thing. It’s great. Took some time to adjust to the looks of it, but now I even like it) Had to glue down the camera mount, as I was racing it and it did not hold up on the two screws, the base just came off, and camera came off with it. Plus I think glueing it down with epoxy reduces jello. Thank you for the work, I really appreciate it.

I have a different mount design I'll be releasing soon that makes it smaller and supports it and holds the angle better. Shoot me an e-mail if you want to try it out.

Nice quad design and flies good. Flight time with different batteries? Insta sub. Didn't get it - is it ok to use full size(not naked) O3 air unit?(still viable or sacrifice a lot of agility; full O3 seems more durable and heat resistant)

Could you please try rcinpower 1804 its only like 12g so not too much heavier and its produces a lot of thrust. Also if you want the most performance for sub250 you should try 4inch toothpick with 2004 or the rcinpower 1804.

The new gemfan 3630 are better than the 4023 props on sub250. I get a higher top speed and more efficient. 4 inch just catches dives better with a heavy build

This was cool how short the video was and how accurate it was. After a hard crash the fc leds stopped working but the vtx and rtx both still had power and leds on those little boards were on. ESC motors beeped but the last fc beep wasnt happening. I figured it was the fc but i did that finger trick and holy shit that puppy was piping hot. Thanks for the good info!

This is exactly what I was looking for thank you! :D It is such an awesome build, I'm getting the frame to. I was just wondering how would this fly with gnb 530mah 6s & tattu 550mah 6s with the t-motor f1404 2900kv. And how would these compare to the rcinpower1404 2750kv for 6s? I'm also going to use the flywoo kit for the o3 =D

Awesome build, need to try these motors, I've also worked on different builds with the crux35 frame and my best til now is extending it to 4" props and have fun, this thing flies so well with BF 4.5 and no tune at all and is still sub250 😉👍 kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpOuqaZ3rsqfgs0 kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXXJmXiapbaqgpY

So what is a good alternative for the old Jhemcu in the Scythe? I bought the Scythe frame with the baseplate for 25.5x25.5 AIO layout. Is the GHF745AIO-40A or 50A any good? Also looking at the Speedybee F745 35A 25.5X25.5 AIO but it is slightly bigger

1:00 Did you 3d print the other propellers that you're comparing this propeller to? Materials used does matter after all. EDIT: OK, you recognize the issue. However, I'm surprised you bothered to do experiment without setting the materials and production method as a control.

I used a set of 1804 3022kv hyperlite motors for my 5 inch light build with the Hypetlite UL5. bi-blade props feel really good, in open air its just a little slower than a regular 5 inch, but in corners it handles much better because a lack of mass. Air resistance is a real issue, so I full throttle eject into straightaways and flatten out to reduce air drag. I was initially planning to use a 850mah 4S battery, but after testing a 3sHV I settled on a 750mah 3sHV, reducing the battery mass by %30, bringing the AUW to 197 grams wet. I think I could get a little more thrust with a bigger motor or lower KV same motor... But the build at is is fast AF and I get 7 mins of track time. (landing at 3.5)
@GoatZilla
@GoatZilla 6 ай бұрын
huh I didn't expect the 2 and 3 blade results to cross over the way they did. I suspect this is actually due to motor/torque effects more than the props themselves. still useful data to consider though since we need to look at the big picture. too bad the emax avia 3" weren't in the mix.

I purchased a rush 30x30 stack listed as having an MPU6000 gyro and put it on a new build just to find that bit flew like shit no matter what I did with filters. took the fc off after a week of trying to figure shit out and realized the fc says on the bottom that it has the ICM42688P mounted.

amazing video, subscribed! I'm surprised that 1404 3.5" props gave you 200 km/h, I flew my gerprc smart 35 with same specs (but heavier) and it didn't break 100 kmh. I assume that weight matter less than air resistance for these drones? so tower design seems to help a lot.
@RecursionLabs
@RecursionLabs 6 ай бұрын
Thrust to weight matters the most, yes. 1g on one of these is like 5g on a 5" sized build.
@AlexLebed
@AlexLebed 6 ай бұрын
@@RecursionLabs but how is so? isn't it when a drone able to however - it already beat the gravity and any additional thrust would have being able to accelerate it forever without wind resistance? So practically speaking windage and (max thrust-gravity) are the only important factors for the top speed?

I'm building a new one soon and I'll be using the JHEMCU GFH420 AIO (BGA Version). It won't be as good as the MPU6000 ones I've been using, but I put one in a Scythe in the fall and it flew well. That or I'd find a reasonably priced 25.5x25.5 board.
