@MarkReyesCayabyab I see your point, and I agree. There has definitely been an increase in their popularity in menswear. During Tumblr's peak from 2011 to 2015, when menswear was a major focus, boots and oxfords were the primary go-to footwear choices.

Won't be mean at all, anyone/everyone is welcomed here! I think it's all preference! 1 - I have skinnier legs so have long socks kind of hides the fact that they're skinny. I'm like borderline chicken legs haha 2 - I don't want to take them off only to be showing off my feet (Not saying that i have ugly feet but i'm just not a fan of feet, haha) 3 - I feel like sweat will spread to the shoe more easily thus making it more "smelly"

It's definitely possible especially during sale season to find guidis or tabis for 1/3 of their original price. I got my 788z for 550 used but I've seen people get even better deals. It's something that I've wanted for years and it felt nice to save and buy the real thing. It's all about being patient. You're buying into the craftsmanship, quality, etc when buying a brand like guidi which are leagues ahead of walker vn. For my personally I'd rather save and wait than buy a lower quality alternative :)

I love this! I know Ssense does have a sale here and there! I personally think there's nothing wrong with cheaper alternatives if it's something you just want to test out. I know later down the road, i want to get real MM loafers and it's thanks to these cheaper alternatives !

Sorry but the new AnF changes a lot.. the clothing looks like uniqo or Zara style .. but i do love vintage AnF in the mid 80s and 90s and 2000 , in fact i do still have them 2 boxes but some are a bit tight lol and i do have more hoodies that im wearing vintage... this is only my opinion..

Great video! I just bought the Fuse Jacket today. I love the look. Material seems a little cheap for the price (they even recommend you store it folded) - almost feels like a cross between a sweater and jacket. Impulse purchase - yes. Worth it - we’ll see.

These boots are not worth it, they smell like a chemical factory and the zippers don’t zip all the way. They are super plasticy feeling, just save for real guidis

Personally, I owned a pair for three months, and I've found them to be pretty high quality. The chemical smell is apparent, and I will agree it is annoying but it wears off in a week at most. I think the smell is just shoe shine or some sort of leather perserver, but it is a harsh head ache enducing smell. As for the leather, it's held up pretty well for me. Mind you, I haven't been treating them like a red wing boot, but they've held up really well. All leather will flake if you dont take care of it. I would reccoment using some sort of perserver or leather lotion. I use the red wing leather lotion all my leather boot products. For your issue with the zippers, im not really sure? Maybe its a sizing issue, or you haven't fully broken them in? Mine fit perfectly. Maybe your zipper is getting caught on the leather fold?

TBH the black essential T looks best on you…by far. Oversized shirts are not a good look for shorter men unless you have a muscular build and even then it would need to be hemmed to get the length in proportion to the body.

Totally get where you’re coming from! I wear a size Medium in the OS shirts from Uniqlo and those are my only frame of references prior to buying it. I kind of went to it blind and I actually wanted to do a wash/dry test to see how much it shrunk. I’d rather have a slightly OS shirt after drying compared to a shirt that barely fits me.

Cool vid man, was just in Stockholm and got some boots and a jacket from them. I am sort of in this period of wanting to “smarten” my look and move away from more “pure” street wear. I’ve been thinking of it as elevated street wear. All that to say that I think your understanding of the target audience rings true for me. I went by acne while I was here too and it definitely struck me as more avant garde, wasn’t quite what I was looking for although I’m sure they have some of that too.

I'm currently in the same boat where i kind of just want to simplify my life and go for more simple pieces that look smart while incorporating some sneakers whenever i want! Kind of like a preppy-street look! It's so interesting that these brands really know their target audience and they really lean in. That's so awesome that you went to Stockholm, it's definitely on my list of places to go, especially with the overall Scandi design that they incorporate. In terms of other parts of the world, are you referring to overall minimal designers? Mid-tier designers? I really love this idea and would love to make a video out of it!

you should look into The Last Conspiracy brand very good alternative to guidi and CCP, definitely better than walker vietnam as I have seen walker's leather flaking and chipping after a slight tear from wearing roughly. The Last Conspiracy brand tend to use horse/buffalo/culatta/etc leather for their boots with an affordable price and a pretty good design.

That’s a fair statement, and I do feel like some pieces are worth buying. But I don’t believe in spending $1000 for some footwear or at least right now, in fact i feel like the whole point of buying these is to explore if these can be a later investment down the future.

It’s so hard to say if going a size down will make it fit perfectly, my friend told me he went TTS and it fits perfectly (we’re the same size) but I did the same thing too soo idk if it was a one time production error or if it’s just like that.

Just got these today. They fit so well, I just wish they had pockets, because women pants lol They look so skillfully made in black on me, pair them with tabi boots The cut is absolutely amazing, they’re so effortlessly elegant. The biggest hurdle is getting over the mental hump of feeling like you as a man can and should only look at men’s selections and catalogues. It’s a proven fact that women’s clothes are just made better, and come in a greater and more interesting variety of cuts, silhouettes, and textures than men’s clothes.
