It's clearly the end of credits music, and like so many 1970s horror movies, it would have fitted easily with the genre at the time. It is an exquisite piece of music, haunting, melancholic, reflective - very much in the style of the earlier classic The Mask of Satan with Barbera Steele - and Friedkin should not have dishonoured the composer by throwing the tape in the car park.

And ended up being used as the end-of-credit music for...Sam Raimi's "Drag Me To Hell."
9.2K views! Outfookinrageous. Says it all about humanity. His Royness has very few peers, lyrically.

Locked in mortal combat as the future shadows loom The guardian of my spirit fights his way across the room To where the sick majority infest the myths of doom But the lanterns of children hold firm in full bloom And we'll walk a long long way Oh, together. Though we found ourselves that way Long before we knew. Ah, but you know the way its worked I feel that When I laugh it's with your soul. And when I cry... It's you I ride inside the purple dawn collecting golden dew That falls from citidels of dreams I shake whilst flying through Creation's key seems just in reach, ah but then its overdue But as darkness surrounds us I'm reaching for you. Far across the universe the goblins of the night Sometimes corner sunrise and keep it out of sight And wandering the crossing minds, hallucinating light Is the dream that I have of you holding me tight.

I saw that Lhasa's video with that great introduction in a song "Soon this place will be too small" is deleted. Is there any posibility to be posted again? It was one of the best things I've ever heard. Please!

It's unfortunate! I received an email a few weeks ago saying that it would be blocked. I'm not sure where else it could be posted without the threat of being deleted again. Any suggestions?

I heard the original exorcist music that Lalo wrote was recycled and used in the original Amityille movie. Don’t know how true this is. But this is piece playing here is more “Airport” than Exorcist! I do love the string piece used in the banned trailer that should have definitely been kept in!
@swankybutters83712 жыл бұрын
A version of it, I'm sure... Lalo was good at his craft... A bit of info on this... First, Friedkin was rude to Lalo... Then this nonsense about asking him to change the score is not true. Friedkin heard the music and made them stop and didn't let Lalo finish. I have no doubt Lalo would have changed the score but Friedkin just moved on, had a bit of an ego... Lalo ALWAYS tweaked for directors...... always, always, always!!!

What exactly is "rock" about this? Sounds like pre-Spielberg John Williams for a disaster movie of that era (take your pick).
