Very well done! I've been a fan going back to your time with Dusty Miller and surprised you didn't mention that group. Thanks for all the great music!

Thanks Tammy for sharing your story. Loved this more personal version of I choose you. Had a great time after driving 3 hours on a very cold night to you and the band at Blue Gate theaters. Thanks so much for letting everyone know you appreciate us Steelheads singing along. The people next to me herd me sing loud and proud on everysong and you heard me providing some harmony. The Steeldrivers bring a lot of joy to my life so glad you released Tougher Than Nails

Can definitely hear Bluegrass in a lot of Jerry's phrasing.

Yes but really Jerry had it all. If you listen to the same songs over the years he played blusey and jazzy as well. I had the privilege of seeing/hearing Jerry perform over 300 times from 1971-95. I’ve never enjoyed anyone more.

The Old & In The Way record is the best selling bluegrass album of all-time. Jerry had a big hand in the next generations of players finding their way to American roots music and Bluegrass in particular. The museum is wise to embrace his legacy.

I love her voice - LOVE it. Her version of "Beneath Still Waters" is right up there with Gene Watson's "Take Me As I Am." Both vocal benchmarks, that Just tears your heart apart. But . . . I have KZbind MANY of her performances - and I've never seen or heard her play like Sam Bush or (more importantly) Sierra Hull. So with Alison Krauss out there - who actually IS a fiddle champion as well as an amazing vocalist and gazillion-time Grammy winner - and Sierra Hull's virtuoso playing and touring with Bela Fleck - and Molly Tuttle's lightning-fast soloing with Tommy Emmanuel . . . how can RV be called "the Queen" of Bluegrass ?!? Any other one of those women (and there are more out there) - can out-play her ten times over. And Molly and Sierra both write their own original tunes. If there's anyone out there who has a link to Ms. Vincent PLAYING/SOLOING on a song - I'd love to hear i. Because although "The Rage" is a good group - she has a mandolinist who does all the soloing. She can't simply be the leader of a band - to get that title. Alison Krauss, Molly Tuttle and Sierra Hull - all are leaders of Bluegrass bands - and they are ALL virtuoso soloists. But I've only ever heard Ms. Vincent play rhythm . . . and I would just love to hear her play a killer solo - even once.

I just adore Darin and Brooke Aldridge from a musical standpoint. I can relate better than the vast majority of non performers because thanks to a behind the scenes tour, I got to stand in the very same "Grand Ole Circle" as the Aldridges and countless others of the Opry. I plan to see Darin and Brooke at a bluegrass festival next month and am highly anticipating the occasion!

I can't believe more people that love bluegrass have not seen this. You madam are a legend to me and I love your music and hope and pray that 1 day I get a chance to sing in a group that plays music similar to The Steel Drivers. I have somewhat patterned my voice after Chris Stapleton because I love the way that he sounded whenever he was with you guys. God bless and may he bless you with many more years of making great music. - Jack Ray

Doc himself knew that there were many better guitar pickers out there, but he was a pioneer and an innovator who inspired many of todays players.
