I've tried to build this as a somewhat new builder, and unfortunately this kit broke on me. After hearing about how much of a hand grenade it is, I tried tightening all the joints using paint and, sometimes, using a thin layer of superglue. I was doing the articulation of the wrist, infamous for being unable to hold the peacock smasher, and tightened it too much, wich resulted in me warping and breaking the plastic of the wrist and forearm. Unable to repair it, I had to scrap everything with a heavy heart, as the x1 full cloth is my favourite MS from UC. I'm now waiting for the build fighters hg version, wich I'm told is way better articulation wise despite needing color correction, and I PRAY for an eventual RG release, since the X1 (and X2 I somehow managed to grab from pbandai) are some of the BEST crossbone builds I experienced (despite tiny parts). Thanks for the video, this was very informative, it is hard to find much on this kit because late UC suits don't really get much spotlight compared to the usual Amuro/Char suits or unicorn suits.

Had the arm snap off my Luna Maria zaku in the same way yours did. Easy fix. You just need a pin vise, a paper clip and some super glue.

This suit looks good but I prefer the Miguel Ayman custom only because that has a shield. If only this kit has that shield it would have been perfect.

Gelgoog looks like a Rooster. I own the PBandai Johnny Riddens Gelgoog High Mobility Type 2.0 and not only does it look good it looks better than Chars Gelgoog. Gelgoog looks incomplete without its backpack.

Awesome review style mate, really entertaining to watch It's good to see some love being shown to this particular kit, his inner frame looks absolutely delicious to paint and detail up My absolute holy grail is the mass production version of this

what was worth mentioning is a lot of it is based on the engineering of the Jesta however all the parts are brandnew and designed to facilitate the excellent parts seperation. The RE100 point in also interesting due to the Jegan originally being one of the suits bandai announced could/would be part of that line -whether it was made an MG due to it's relationship with the Jesta or it made putting out PB variants easier is anyone's guess

First it has many screws, springs as part of transformation and wirings to do for the LED. 2nd it has ball and socket for shoulders so still a good range movement but no where near mg level. 3rd the shield and rifle handle easily gets loose overtime as in it will drop from the handle connector and the zeta hands are not the greatest in holding its weapons but the beam saber is fine. Lastly it has no torso bend or waist movement, so your are most likely limited to standing poses. Oh and it doesnt have any adaptor for action base but the kit can stand on its own.

Yeah those shoulders are such a problem also be careful with the joint on the waist, still despite those issues I love it so much

Ahhh you got dinged by the shoulder too. That happened to me with the MG Zaku Warrior which the GINN shares it's frame with.

Did you top coat your joints too or did it break after building right out of the box?

@@RReginaPhalange Right out the box. I recommend some sanding to make it less of a tight fit. I had a similar issue with the Alex 2.0's wrist joints.

I've been looking into getting this kit so it's nice to see a newer video on it. Exia is one of my favorite Gundam's aesthetically and I like 1/144 scale but the HG is super plain looking. This has given my the courage to finally make the purchase. Great vid!
