To those placing all the credit on the super grey packer...I know adults that packer or not, this kid could still outride. He built up to his stops...something most green as grass adult reiners can't grasp. Awesome riding Little Man!

He doesn't have a very good seating..
@ShadowReine
@ShadowReine 7 жыл бұрын
No, he doesn't...he loses his balance badly during a spin. I think the horse may be overbitted too, from the way it flinches when he touches the rein.
@conniedlc1013
@conniedlc1013 7 жыл бұрын
I disagree with both of you. The seating may be subject to taste or may be that that is what works on that mare. Regarding being overbitted I do not see the flinching (please see the rollbacks she has rein contact and doesn't flinch!) Could you please specify what second in the recording you see the flinching? Maybe I just can't see it and it's still there...

I would like to see how y'all would do seat wise on an incredibly athletic mare like that.

@@conniedlc1013 Agree with you...this mare looks comfortable...does not look overbited to me...certainly that is the case with a lot of em but not here, imo.

Hes just a well trained older horse. The kid just knows the simple turn and move actions. If anything everyone should have been cheering for the horses intelligence.

Frank DiFelice I think both are outstanding. The horse packs the kid, but the kid RIDES the horse through each maneuver better then lots of rookie adults!

I know this was a year ago, but I agree the horse is a packer. He is extremely well trained, but he still requires very specific cues for all the different maneuvers, so for his age this kid has learned a lot about reining to cue this horse to do what he's suppose to do. And for his age he has an excellent seat. Yes he's lucky to have a father that really knows how to train and breed these top reiners, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be applauded, yes the other kids he was competing against may not have had as perfect horses, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be aloud to compete, his father probably doesn't think he is ready for a more difficult horse and I'm sure his father will teach him to train his own reiners and compete on horses that aren't made.

it is not about age, he is more talented then ppl in there 40's horse riding. i think it is Casey Deary's son. His father is the 2012 NRHA Open Futurity Champion.

I think I would feel a lot happier if this tiny child was not whacking his horse in the gut with spurs- I could not believe that anyone would allow such a baby to even wear spurs- and had a helmet on his head, to say nothing of the fact that- oh what is the point, you have all made up your minds that this is fine long ago, but you know what? It really is NOT fine. It isn't the child's fault, but it isn't fine, either.
@grduate
@grduate 5 жыл бұрын
Adults where spurs, reiners wear spurs, harder than his little legs. Sometimes to get a horse into a spin you have to boot and let go, he was by no means over spurring his horse. That boy is tiny. That would not hurt a horse. As for the helmet..well, it’s not your child..so you have no say. If you can’t comment anything positive, why comment?

one thing I dont understand why beat the horses side like that he obviously knew something was up with the saddle and tried multiple times to stop probably because of it but beat him with the heel some more then there you go on your ARSE. The horse sensed it and you kept on. Luckily no one was hurt. Next time listen to your horse for a change and wonder why it stopped.
