From experience, with a cockatiely birb that is very friendly to me and other people, if you slowly stick your face into his he won't do the hissy thing, he'll just look for loose skin to gently nibble at. But if you stick a phone in his face, he does the hiss- he don't like foreign objects in his face but don't mind people. Not crazy, really- makes a lot of sense lol

He is probably reacting to having the camera so close. They have their own rules as to what is allowed. I have raised many through the years and look forward to new personality games. My remaining birds are 30 years old, down to about 20 years old. (2 adoptions are a mystery as the owner died before I received their birds)
