Hi, which drone model did you used? Did you have any problem on flying above enhanced warming zones in London?

? Even if you were flying over the college that wouldn't be "encroaching" that would be called lawfully flying your drone.

I always understood that you are not permitted to fly drones over any built up area in England without permission. I dont know whom yiu ould ask that permission from?

Hi Matt/Chew hope you are well. No doubt your social media growth has been exponential since the viral clip of the security guard aggressively approaching you. Congrats on 10 mil views. In this comment I would hope only to remind you of professional courtesy (not saying you have been discourteous as you have done nothing wrong). However, as you know there are plenty of individuals on KZbin who consistently make videos of annoying the authority, provoking a reaction, and profiting off of anger-filler responses from the viewers. Undoubtedly your viral video does embody this spirit but overall is not distasteful, as all parties concerned were very understanding with a quick de-escalation. For your information that Queens porter is one of the nicest porters I have ever met, and I am glad to see he handles the situation well (legally you can upload the exchange, but out of niceness, did you ask him if he wanted to be in a KZbin video?). Most viewers reactions are positive, but of course there are inevitably underlying hostilities towards authority. I'm sure the virality and people taking your side makes it tempting to upload more encounters with authority, as you can accelerate your growth (I'm sure a small filming company with just 2 DJIs is hard work), but here I want to remind you of professional courtesy. Even for that YT short, there was no *need* to upload this exchange, as it was a private one which ended uneventfully. But, as shown, since such videos gain virality, that may become a justification in itself, and inspire more malicious creators. I would simply like to remind you this is just not good. Not for viewers, not for the authorities who need to deal with more idiots flying drones illegally, and not good for drone law for fliers as authorities bind tighter on flying/filming restrictions, as if it's not already difficult enough. Hope you or anyone else can take the time to understand my message and why I'm saying it. Kind regards.

Hi there, Thanks for your thoughtful message and kind words. I really appreciate your perspective. The security guard situation did go viral, and I’ve been amazed by the response. I always aim to handle encounters respectfully and it’s good to hear that came across in the video. I agree with you about the importance of professional courtesy. It’s never my intention to provoke or cause distress, and I’m mindful of how my content could influence others. The porter in the video did handle things well. Since this encounter happened in a public place and he saw that I had a camera, I felt it was appropriate to share. I understand the concerns about how these kinds of videos can impact public perception and laws around drone use. It's a fine line to walk, and I'm always trying to be mindful of the broader implications of what I share. Your message is a good reminder to keep these things in mind, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Matthew

I think a lot can be learned from approaching any situation in a non-biased manner. “Hey sir, just double checking that you don’t intend to film campus life with your drone? I don’t mean to be a bother but I just need to check on our campus safety, I hope you understand my inquiry”
