Great video. Keep going at it. Don’t give up. The hardest part is staying committed to making videos. Once you’ve got the grove, it just comes naturally. Thanks for posting this. I’m actually looking into getting one of those headlamps at my local harbor freight. They’re currently on sale for 19.99 with a coupon. This video definitely helped.

I absolutely adore the Hardy brand gloves 💕 I prefer the thinner ones they have because they still let you feel so much, I usually forget I’m even wearing one 😂😂

@londonoxfordstreet update, the light is fine you probably get around 2 hours on high setting before it dies....maybe a little less give or take...personally I don't think the battery lasts long enough. Plus it takes like 2 hours to recharge it. It may be fine for some people tho, depending on what u need it for. I got it to fish at night and just found the battery not lasting long enough. Granted it's a headlamp under 40$ so get what u pay for. I'm currently exploring better options

@SatoruGojo-wn3vk or buy hotdogs for $1.75? Your clearly new here so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt but if you watch my other videos I've literally caught tons of catfish on hotdogs. Its extremely effective. And my primary go to for catfish bait. I just caught a 8lb catfish 2 days ago on hotdog.

You should use a big piece of hotdog so that bluegill don’t steal it and only big fish can eat it.

Wow they are supposed to give you that 1$ back. Even if the gas pump is faulty and it shut off for some reason, they need to give you that money back. If it happens again do something about it.

@@eastonwengeler4161 yeah I went inside and confronted the clerk with the receipt it was just some Foreigner guy though barely spoke English but he would not give me the money back he actually started getting a little hostile towards the end wanting me to leave the store

So i was able to reel in a 7lb catfish on 15lb line, right when i got him up on the bank he broke the line, but i didn't lose the fish tho. So I've went up to 30lb line on this setup

@t0nyT fun fact the ozark trail reels have parts coming out of the same factory as lews and quantum. If you notice the ozark trail reels look very similar to the lews reels.

Have you seen the new version of that same knife? Has micarta scales & kydex/plastic sheath with a tec-lock that can be turned for scout carry or vertical. Satin finish tho, not the black. $18... both are nice for the price, no doubt. They throw pretty good too...

@@LiveTrueorDieTryin76 yeah I actually just found that out yesterday I was actually quite surprised with the replacement definitely an upgrade in my opinion like you said that handle is way better than the Packer would handle on the original I'm kind of curious to see about getting my hands on the new version and doing a side-by-side actual comparison video

Great Channel Cats set up but for blues and flat heads 70+ pounds not so much. Only cheap rod that will handle the big ones is the Shakespeare Ugly Stixs Catfish Rod. Hard to find but recently picked one up for $11 currently pairing that with a Kast King Sharky Baitfeeder 3 4000 reel. It has a twin drag system with up too 26.5 pounds of drag and spool up to 230yds of 65 lbs test braided line. Through Amazon the reel is $60 and its both fresh and salt water ready. Yes its a bit more than the set up shown here but for $30 more your getting so much more for the money. Oh i forgot the Shary Baitfeeder 3 has 10+1 Stainless steel bearing making a far more robust durable reel.

@kenjett2434 thats not the point of the video, were not targeting catfish over 30lbs, the rod is a heavy power rod would have no problem with 20lb-30lb fish plus ive seen friends of mine pull a 23lb catfish out with a medium power bass rod, it's all about skill and setting drag, plus the grit stick is a gx2 clone. @kenjett2434 ya but there are flathead catfish and blue catfish that are still within the 20 to 30 lb range that you could also hit with the setup Not to mention carp as well

@@darrinscrazylife7121 true but you may wish you were prepared with heavier gear. While fish for those juvenile size cats you can hook into those real monsters, I know it's happened to me. So I learned hard way to gear up big while you can still catch the 1 pound to 30 pound, you'll be ready for that monsters instead of losing it because of light gear.
