We just had FTTP installed, and the box is in the garage, with a new modem. The internet is atrocious at the back of the house in the bedrooms. Slower and worse than out previous FTTN! And it is costing a lot more! What The????

iiNet hasn't changed? iiNet doesn't even exist anymore, it's just TPG. 99% of the support is outsourced overseas to (well-meaning) agents that unfortunately lack the tools to actually change anything significant on the systems or accounts, just like the big boys iiNet were trying to avoid emulating in their earlier years. iiNet is just a marketing team and a few dozen admins nowadays, with everything else outsourced or offshored to save bucks - and the service level has suffered for it, all for the same price to the customers.
