Piano get excited and completely overwhelms the other two - especially the cello. The clarinet plays with great balance against the cellist. Shame about the piano

It's a downgrade. The song was originally pitched as high as C6. Most countertenors can't sing that high. But pitch isn't the only thing that's hard about this song. All things considered, it's not a bad singing.

Only discovered in 1938 . Dvorak himself had forgotten this arrangement.

Little melodic emotion rollercoasters of near chaos punctuated by precociously bold precision.

This piece is VERY DIFFICULT. As a clarinet player myself, this piece is above and beyond. Richard Stozlman legimately refuses to play this piece live because of its difficulty. So much love and admiration to David Shifrin for not only having the balls to play this, but to do an admirable job at it!

Bravo! This, well really respectfully Said You Mr John Moore; You are a standout. Well above progressive selective series's of applicative attempts at bearing nearly near. Thank You! Tell you what; "I See coming across Your Name Preforming, even speaking; "I am there" :) ( : __):/)D

I heard this piece for the first time in my 86 years of life this year at the Quartetto Indaco concert at the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo. It was performed as an encore. It was a small piece, only five or six minutes long, but listening to it for one or two minutes I couldn't help to be moved to tears. Whose and what work is it? A few days later, I emailed the Institute. They responded immediately and told me it was Giacomo Puccini's Crisantemi. Thanks to that, I was able to listen to the piece again on KZbin. A lot of thanks! This quartet was written by Puccini in one night in memory of his patron's sudden death. Listening to this piece, my two friends who died in quick succession this summer come to mind.

Thanks for the lecture! I‘m sorry, Mozart was not the first to write a clarinet concerto! Johann Stamitz wrote a clarinet concerto around 40 years earlier and startet using the clarinet in orchestra since 1732. He was in Mannheim and there is where Mozart first heard a clarinet on a trip through southern Germany. After J Stamitz, several other composers wrote clarinet concertos and repertoire (including Stamitz‘s sons) before Mozart.
