I discovered the Dark is Rising sequence as an adult when the book fell of the shelf at the bookstore into my hand. Meant to be. I’ve now read it so many times it’s falling apart.

I came here as I am a massive fan of Jesse’s work (in particular Succession) and it was comforting to see someone obviously so talented, not so polished a public speaker, as I’ve started to struggle… articulating a million thoughts in my head succinctly real-time. Anyway, I am a British female who has spent most of my vacations cycling across America (and North to South on the GDMBR) as it’s the one country with almost every landscape, where I can speak the language and feel safe travelling alone. I hate the bad rap Americans get from ignorant people saying Americans are ignorant, and I loved Jesse’s tale of everyone clubbing together to help out the guy on the Greyhound who was robbed. This is totally my experience of the Americans I have come across… so generous in spirit… except the Mormons ironically 😂

I like how diligently Alan Moore listens. You get the sense that the person who is talking, without realising it, might be the subject of a character study in a future Moore work!

This codex was written in the 1700's. By a man named Simonides. You need to look into this fake bible. There is a book entitled "who faked the world's oldest bible " written by David W Daniels. There is enough proof and references in this book to enable you to double check these facts. Good luck wirh your research. Don't trust these false teachers!

Sanjeev Sanyal with his book Ocean of Chrun was the first to bring ancient Indian ship building and maritime trade to light. As per this con artist (he didn’t even acknowledge Sanjeev’s contributions), Indians had to first become Buddhist to excel in building ships and navigating and at a large scale? Yeah yeah, we have heard this before that everything in India began with Buddha and Buddhism. This con job has happened much too often before, when acknowledging some Indian contribution becomes inevitable they do that with a lot of praise and at the same time with a healthy dose of sleight and slight. Fact is, there was extensive mathematics, navigation, ship building, and maritime trade before Buddhism.

I heard an Indian commentator say that China invaded India in 1962 because they wanted to discredit the source of spiritualism i.e. India so that they could embark on the path of cultural revolution and banish all religious and spiritual practices from China and replace it with CCP thoughts. It looks like the Chinese get really bothered with anything Indian and "Silk Road" theory is another example of the same.

I appreciate the interest, love and efforts to study archeology in connection with India. However, he is little bit confused and ignorent of linguistic material found its significance. The "Shunnya Theory" or numericals were found by "Nagarjuna" by a Buddhist Monk during Kushan Dynasty in the 1st Century AD. There has been lots of research done in liturgical materalial available by indian researchs like Rajiv Patel and Dr. Rajendra Singh. The oldest languages Prakrit, Pali in the North India and Tamil in the South India. The Hybrid Sanskrit developed by Buddhist monks with addition of Foreign words in Pali language after 1st Century AD and the grammar of Classical Sanskrit evolved between 7-10 Century AD. Buddhist Monk Panini was the 1st grammarian of 7th Century who taught in Nalanda University. There are academic research papers available online. They have published their research in Hindi and are available on line and in Indian market. There is no evidence to "Aryabhatt" or "Brahmagupt". Secondly, there is also no evidence for "Vedic scriptures" before 12th century. The word "Hindu" 1st appeared on Indian Soil in the literature of "Alberuni". Hindu is the word of middle ages brought in by Muslim invaders who called "Sindha" region as "Hind" in Arabian and Persian languages as geographical term. I hope William Dalrymple learns the linguistic research of Dr Rajrndra Singh and Rajiv Patel which they have explained with archaeological evidence.

Why do you ridicule plastic surgery claims if ancient India ? Even the English learned about rhinoplasty from a indian street side surgeon. There are detailed accounts of surgery by the famous surgeon Sushruta probably from the 6th century BC in Kashi in North India
