❤ so cool. am i 'cheater' for looking at this while happily riding another girl's CI rook 15? but how can it be wrong, when it feels so right? 'cause baby, if loving you is wrong, then i dont want to be right :) (im talking about steph steph, and her rad blades :) i really would like to stand up surf, but i just am not convinced that its possible, nor a good / safe idea. that said, im really aspiring to 'rip' harder while knee surfing, at the very least, some backside snaps, frontside snaps, cutbacks bothways, and oncoming section floaters, or floaters on sections in general. if i can accomplish that, with power, necessary speed, and style, then i would be stoked (more stoked. im already stoked every time i get in the water, but its difficult not to want to do more, having already done that so many years ago. anyway, i really like steph stephs practical amd sensible conservative approach to board shapes and variances. i agree totally, and am a total believer in staying committed to what is most liked, enjoyed, suitable, with only subtle nuances and adjustments. when you find what you like, and what makes you feel and be your best, why change that?

It's not the arrow. It's the Indian shooting it. Ethan can rip on a roof shingle. Only a professional can tell the difference between a good board and a GREAT board. I've been told MANY times,"I've never seen a surfer that rips as hard as you on as crappy surfboards as you ride." You can surf, or you can't. The board NEVER makes the surfer. Go watch the beginning of Big Wednesday. Matt Johnson ! Who's surfing double was big wave legend Billy Hamilton, Laird's dad.

I’m not disagreeing but boards definitely make a difference, I’m a decent surfer and certain rocker/rail/outlines just simply work better for my style. I’ve had boards that are the exact same dims with almost identical liters and one feels great and the other feels stiff/stuck/slow etc.. so yes if you can’t surf great a board probably isn’t going to change that but having boards that suit the way you surf and just as importantly the types of waves you’re surfing.

I wish the industry stopped using innegra. It's a marketing joke. Its tensile and yield strengths are stupid low. Just use a fibre glass patch, it's stronger and cheaper. Innegra "works" largely because it's just allowing the resin to be thicker in that spot. Regular E-glass, even in very light weights, will be stronger. But you can't see e glass so you cant use it as a marketing gimmick.

What's inegra?

Informative. What would be the reason for the widespread use then? If it’s less effective and more expensive idk why so many shapers would use it
@clo33424 ай бұрын
@@matty9094because surfers buy it. Just a business.
@DHDSurfTV4 ай бұрын
There is fibre glass between the innergra. So it's both a fibreglass patch with inegra woven through it.

i love the fact that Mick and Parko had this comradeship going on ' whatever happens the title is going back to 'Coolli' ( Coolangatta). This is rare to see in competive surfing as its quite a self centred sport.

Well it looks stiff and that's with Mick and Connor on them out Duranbah (a hollow high performance beach). Connor is bigger but Mick rides mini low-volume boards usually. Handley likes to think he's a master shaper, but can't shape for anyone over 80kg. Preferably under 75kg. And all his shapes are concaves, only one has channels (the Jbay which snaps), and now he's using at least some vee. Hey Darren flat rockers don't work unless the waves are cranking. WTF? All these shapers need to get their heads out of their own arses and realise most males are 80kg to 110kg. How about it boys? We want 6' to 6'4" with plenty of volume without going wide you dingbats.

That really is incredible if that one board lived through all that top level surfing. Steph's style has always been so pleasant to watch because of her effortless flow, i guess that also translates to her not thrashing her board
