Do you reckon that in the official release of the game they'll give players the option to change character names (ENG/JP), like hearing the game with JP VA but reading the ENG name in the subtitles genuinely irritates me so much. I've hated the localised names since the original trilogy so I'm hoping there's such an option in the official game 🤞

Great let's play ! I was surprised by the absence of football gameplay but it was a nice peek into the story ! It took me a while to notice, but it seems that enemies who have little green light particles around them can heal !

Don't know if you already know, but in the battles you can look at the opponents hands to see if they are in rock,paper or scissor stance, then you can pick the "supereffective" move against them for more damage

Some comments while watching: OMG FINALLY SOMEONE WHO GETS THE KISOJI DISTRUST!!! I've been saying this since day 1. Also don't you find it strange that every single portrait of Kisoji in the concept art is him smiling? No angry or sad face, he's always smiling- very suspicious. Not to mention two of the portraits of him smiling seem very... Off? There's one image that looked like he has a different emotion on each half of his face. In past concept art, Yagyuu has been shown to wear the Nagumohara soccer uniform, so we know he joins the team at some point. I thought the image with the Inazuma Tower was Inazuma Town 25 years in the future. In a blog post, I think Hino used that image when talking about the new Raimon, but now that you mention it, it does look too futuristic. I would still like to see your initial reactions to the gallery, even if it's 2 hours long lol.

Leaving comments as I watch: 08:08: There is already art of Yagyuu with an uniform that we saw wayyy back. So him joining the team is clear. (An artwork that depicts him, Unmei, Sakurazaki and Shisendou at night resting near the riverside, supposedly after practice.) My guess is that the reason for the lack of us seeing it now is due to a lot of the story marketing focusing on the early parts for now it seems. And on the start of the game it appears that Yagyuu looks down on the football club if not outright dislikes the sport entirely. 23:05: It might seem random, but I think it makes sense in that they are probably trying to keep VR's story generally self-contained to only IE1 as a point of reference, likely to make it beginner-friendly. (Chronicle Mode is where we'll probably get some fanservice of sequel series I feel)

i think the matchmaking is fine, it's only really an issue in the beta as it's the ONLY thing to do once the full game comes out, people will be grinding out the single player content and getting a team to max level before playing online the only thing i'd say needs improving for online is the rank point system. it should have some fairness given to lower levelled players and not take away as many points when they lose against a much stronger opponent, at least then players shouldn't be stuck in Caravan purgatory for as long

there's a few passive skills that greatly increase the bond power earned, i think that's probably your best shot of hitting the 20% and 30% passive requirements

you can press up/down in the spirit menu to increment the number used by 10 rather than 1, but yeah it's very clunky
