As he said, .... "...no matter what he does..." junk rubber is NOT good for this sport. No matter what ANYONE says.... The junk rubber player comes to the table with something MORE than their own skill!!! PERIOD!!! This is not competitive integrity. Where a sport (any sport) should be "my skill against your's," this should not be allowed. PERIOD!!!

Someone has been losing to long pips lately..
@orionmec7 ай бұрын
It has not been me, However it is a fact that the person choosing junk does not play with just his/her skill. Where is the integrity?
@unpoulet68597 ай бұрын
@@orionmec who said inverted rubbers where "normal" rubbers and long pips weren’t? This is just a norm you invented in your head since most people play with inverted but if it’s available and legal to play with why not use those "junk" rubbers? Skill doesn’t just translate to your equipment and the fact that you don’t know that just shows me that you probably aren’t that knowledgeable about table tennis.
@orionmec7 ай бұрын
It is very clear that inverted gives exactly what you see is what you get. Where as long pips or even most pip out rubber does not. You must be fully aware that the spin is reversed and or simply knuckled. Trying to debate that fact is totally pointless. And yes, it is available and legal. Which it should not be, as I said, when you come to the table with it you come with (perhaps) your skill plus more that you are capable of creating on your own (in most cases). I have played with very skilled players that could create very deceptive shots, but did it with skill, not simply getting the paddle in the way and whala, a wiggly mess. Debating that is also totally pointless as it is a fact and not "made up in my head"! I stick with it, Yep, this is competitive spinelessness! If that offends you, well inside you probably know what I have said is based on fact. However, as you say, it is legal and available. So for the time being, if that makes you (that is if you play with it) feel justified, well, you are. But just remember, You are not 'just' playing with your skill when you can't control the amount or direction of spin. And by that I mean YOU control it, not the scientist that created it. In any sport or aspect of life there will always be those that don't think (or know they are not) they are enough and seek un-natural advantages to equalize/neutralize the more skillful person. There is a reason at the world class level long pips or anti are not seen in the top players. When it is, it is rare. However, at lower levels of play it is just plane bullshit to watch a ball pop up simply because the opponent "pushed" a ball with no real quality and got a free ball to smack or worse they swing with a huge upward stroke only to see the return dive into the net (if it even gets to the net). Yeah, that's competitive, with the spirit of "my skill against yours" in fair competition. I saw a shirt once, it said, "Lawyers, Politicians and Junk Rubber Players..... Same DNA!" Fitting. Have fun with it.
@unpoulet68597 ай бұрын
@@orionmec look it’s all good if you don’t wanna play with it but don’t shame people that do. We all hate playing against certain style and I don’t play against long pips but it’s all about learning that’s all. Long pips take skills period. Ask anyone that’s world class and you’ll see they don’t care about long pips or anti. They just adapt instead of whining. I’m not sure what you meant with your comment as we all know long pips do different with spin than inverted but that’s exactly the point of using it. If a player is really skillful they will find a way to beat any player and style, long pips or not. Again, learn to play against instead of calling it junk. I stand by my point that you must not have lots of experience/knowledge in the sport to have an opinion like that.

Hitting backhand topspins is the norm in International Table Tennis. But one cannot see Pooja S hit two consecutive backhand shots. She also does not bend which is essential for playing good TT. It is amazing that a person with such poor skills is winning Indian national championships. One wonders, how many points she can score against the baby Miu Hirano. The only woman player worthy of being taken seriously at the international level is Manika Batra.
@jatonator4 жыл бұрын
Chandra Ramesh it could be because batra twiddles and uses a tricky long pip on her backhand. At international level you find lot of short pips and smooth. Its easier to set yourself for consecutive backhand topspin. You have to play according to your opponents strength/weakness
@biskya4 жыл бұрын
Chandra ji, manika and pooja both are very skilled and talented players. They both have won commonwealth gold medals for India. Pooja is equally talented player. Because of rubber combination one can observe change in playing style. It is wrong to make such comment on a world class player. Respect them , encourage them!😀
