wifi system is outdated. will not be accessible by phones in the near future. never buy a system based on wireless connectivity. they get out dated fast and don't get software updates. people love being stupid. so let them pay for something that only last 3 max. 2023 that Wi-Fi is no longer available on modern phones or routers.

Let's talk about the video for a brief moment. The opening couple and the last couple of sentences were recorded with the speaker (announcer) several feet from the microphone. That introduces echo into the sound. It's totally unnecessary to have this echo, and some videos made this way have so much echo that it's hard to understand what's being said! This one isn't that bad, but echo is an issue. The solution is for the speaker to stand very near the microphone or have a microphone clipped onto him near the top of his shirt. That way the mic doesn't pick up nearly as much echo. I know this is not the topic here, but this simple change of method (this one weird thing, as some advertising hacks would put it) will make videos like this much more professional!

Don't waste your money ! I bought one of these from 365 garage door parts and it never did work right. I have been in construction for 35 years so I know what I'm talking about. This thing either gets stuck halfway up, which is the easiest part of the lift, or it wouldn't go all the way up, or it wouldn't go all the way down. I've been working mechanical gadgets most of my life and I put two day's into trying to program this and it doesn't work. During those two days lift master basically ignored my calls and my e-mails. My e-mails were answered by saying call. If you call you get an un-ending menu and maybe you might talk to someone. My experience was that someone is that of children who don't know anything. I had one child, tell me that if I had a professional install this wimpy little garage door opener then I wouldn't be having these problems! WOW now that's customer service!!! 365 garage door opener is actually pathetic. They do not stand behind the product they sell (½ made in CHINA the other ½ in MEXICO.) They make up nonsensical crap and they do not answer your questions. I'm in the process of taking 365 garage door parts to court. They have given me no choice. I have 16 billable hours into this, which means that my claim is going to be about six times more than what these unit cost. All they have to do is send me a return label through Amazon and it's over. But much like a politician they cannot and will not admit any wrongdoing. We live in a world where people do not get punished for their mistakes and this behavior is a result of that. They are basically flipping me off!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Sounds to me either you didn't follow the limit switch programing sequence properly, or you don't have the shaft coupler tight enough and the shaft is slipping inside the coupler. Your beating them up, when they are only the distributor and would not have diagnostic capabilities. I had this exact same problem, it was the shaft slipping inside the coupler ... it's actually a bad design from Lift Master. It took me a bit to figure out the problem, I have 32 years working on garage doors & operators, they can be difficult.

You dont mention what type of construction you are in. Perhaps if you had a expert in garage door openers or at least an electrician who understands motor controls installing the opener you would not have any problems like myself.

I agree. 40 yrs in overhead doors. Just wait till conditions aren't optimal. Like all doors run smooth, lmao. When did the concept of putting a jackshaft on a standard lift door become acceptable ? Looked at two yesterday. One with limit encoder module not keeping time or force setting. One with the wickedness of a borderline woman. I stay away from both. Oh by the way. One area had a lift in bay stall. The reasoning for unit. I said there is plenty of room for a off center 8355W that I never had these stupid issues with. Even less expensive and guess what, 100% reliable. It seems only the newbies get sucked in to a jackshaft on a standard lift. Just wait a few years. Shit will happen.

How much room do you need between the wall and garage opener track? Some garages are quite narrow and only give you 7 inches on the side. Also, does the outlet need to be right next to the jack-shaft? What if it is 6 feet away?
