The reason these slug guns work so darn well for dropping animals so fast is because that one ounce slug dumps all its energy inside the animal. Most impressive shot I've seen good job

I counted the paces as best I could and I estimate the shot at 50-60 yds. Very nicely done!

I have killed a few while the animal is still running I wouldn't recommend that shot but here in Alabama it is common to take a shot like that because of the way we hunt If you are dog hunting you have to be ready for the deer to come out and the shot is sometimes needed

I'm not trying to belittle the shooter, it was a great shot, but I wouldn't call it "amazing." I assume he was using 00 Buck. I'm a duck hunter and I do that all the time on a bird cruising at 50 mph. So smacking a buck running at 30 mph is good and all, but I just call that another day at the office. It's impressive that he dropped in his tracks, but that was probably luck that one of the ball bearings hit him in the skull and/or neck bone.

Thanks for your comment. I do not shoot 00 buck, i find it wounds more deer then kills. I was shooting a 1oz slug out of my 12 ga. 870.
