I have a Conductor 3X GT. I swapped all amps from V6 to V7. It is not a subtle change. It's a giant leap in every aspect of sound quality improvement. I highly recommend the V7 Vivids. I played with adding a couple of V7 Classics. I can see how many would love that warmer mid forward sound. I personally prefer all Vivids.

Did some research and noted this Sonic Studio software does not have 'FlexBass' which allows user to redirect the bass to your your subwoofer in a 5.1/7.1 setup. (For example, playing a stereo music track with Flexbass, you can get bass directed to the subwoofer, with Flexbass off : no bass is sent to the subwoofer, thus making the music listening experience very poor.

I wanna use it for a lavalier clip on mic cause it sounds horrible onboard with terrivle noise. That little mic has over 1000 ohms impedance on 3.5mm jack. Can you test if this dac will be enough for something loke that?

You can compare g6 but with topping dx3 pro, not this one what you have. Thats why g6 it best actual DAC in europe in low price, its even better then aliexpress dacs and cheaper.

I still have the Sennheiser PC37X (Massdrop) gaming headset, but switched to the Sennheiser HD58X (also Massdrop) with a seperate mic. Mujch nicer and music is awesome. I am selling the PC37X.

Yeah I was kinda don't believe in Logitech in the first place too, since I don't have much money Logitech is something expensive for me, but then I got the mouse from Logi, and now it's the only mouse that left for me longer than a year, technically it's now 3rd year and seeing some wire exposed since the first year but clicking quality and how much abusive I put on clicking, it's still work like the first day I have bought it. For 40 Euros mouse that last 3 years that's quite something, while normally would use 13 Euros mouse and then since 8 months I got auto-click

in-ear monitors (IEMs) are crappy. Their sound usually cuts off at 16 kHz, they're uncomfortable for long-term use, and you need to clean them daily or at least three times a week unless you want an ear infection. In my opinion, it's better to buy regular over-ear headphones. IEMs are good for laptops or phones.

@@MikeleKonstantyFiedorowiczIV I disagree. Many IEM's are competitively better for pin pointing in FPS games then the more usual headphones. I use both for years and never had an infection or anything before and i think you are exaggerating a bit. They do get dirty yes but headphones also get dirty and warm and sweaty and very bad hair after a while. For story telling games i do like headphones tho but for competitive games IEM's are really nice. The tech has improved tremendously for IEM's the last 5 years.

@@Watskeburt I personally own two pairs of Sennheiser IEMs priced around $150-200, and I use them with my LG G7. I like using them in the city or when running in the forest because they are comfortable and don't take up much space. Unfortunately, none of them can reproduce the entire sound spectrum like my home Audio Technica ATH 550. You can feel that the sound is of good quality, but it's missing the higher and lower tones. Perhaps there are models that play the real 20-20kHz range, but I haven't come across any. Yes, regular headphones also get dirty, but they usually have material that makes it less noticeable compared to a dirty earphone directly in the ear canal. And regarding hair, you're right; some people do go bald from wearing headphones, haha. Additionally, I believe IEMs can damage your ears because the sound going directly into them has high power and pressure, which is why I prefer to use them occasionally. If you know of any IEMs that play the full sound spectrum, let me know. Unfortunately, even though these Sennheisers are very well made, with even symmetric Kevlar cables, they don't meet my audio requirements.

4:12 Jeez a soundcard with a 6pin thats insane! There are lots of GPU's that don't even need a 6pin why would a sound card ever need more wattage then a gpu ??? Stability? im sure it would never ever really utilize it, the board should be more then capable of providing it power

Yes it should, but the manufacturer thinks that power straight from the power supply is "cleaner", meaning it doesn't suffer from fluctuations as much. Today a motherboard is more than capable of providing clean power.

I dont appreciate a few things with the g6. the volume knob is really poorly implemented. the volume knob doesnt even control the optical out signal. you cant use optical and headphone at the same time. micro usb is poopoo too. all those things not a problem with the gc7. I suppose with the crystallizer at 40% the audio is fine enough, I think it adds multiband compression or something. I got the gc7 for less than half price so im not complaining, although I do feel the dull audio a bit with my studio monitors. willing to live with it for now. Im using optical in and optical out and using the box for EQ and DSP for my cd player. I like the rightmark tests with ur reviews, appreciate that.

What experiences have you had with latencies? There is a program called latency monitor; Supposedly, the lower the latency, the fewer glitches and interruptions there will be while using the card. Being PCIEX x1, it should already have a good response in that sense. Maybe a typical user won't notice that as an advantage. But in recordings and streaming it is a critical factor.

I still use the ZXR daily on a Win7U/Solus dualboot system. Soundquality in stereo is very good on both OS`s. No complains here. However for a top product the ZXR lacks badly in the software part. It lacks any controls for adjusting surround sound for example. I mean many features the way older Audigy2 ZS offered are simply absent in a more modern flagship ? Well,anyway,support for this soundcard ended years ago. So it is reduced by newer OS`s own campatibility drivers to a standart soundcard anyway - that still sound very good thanks to the hardware on the card.

@AntonsHardware: I've been trying to get my IO Drive to work for some time. No matter which driver I install, the 3 buttons, volume button and LEDs just don't work. My card is also recognized as "Xfi fatal1ty Pro Series" by the product registration, not as "Champion Series". The connection cable is definitely OK. It seems to be a common problem as you can find a lot about this problem but no solution. Can you please show me exactly which driver you are using to make it work?

Great review Anton, would Burson opamp work with M-Audio AP 192 ? I mean there is one swappable amp place available on the card but I am not sure would it have any effect on the sound that much. now my box works very good! see the video on my channel- what i did for win10- uploaded and installed the latest upgrades for the card- start the sonic studion- unplugged the hdmi from the box and plug it in back- the next step is to restart the sonic studion and it should works fine!!!

I used to be a fan of sound cards. I've owned a SB Live! 5.1, Auzentech Cinema 7.1, Onkyo SE 90, and Asus Essence STX. But then I moved to external DAC and sold all my cards. I still regret selling the STX though. I just bought this card for $15 to be used as microphone input since the realtek chip on my motherboard is broken. Nice video btw...

I bought thos because the ob one on my Z690 with the ALC did not do in dynamic range, bass. The soundquality in all is almost incremental improved, BUT! There is no distorttion anymore in high bass levels and it is a notch better than onboard but not by much. It has a better sw, eq and options. No true Atmos/DTS encoding so the 5.1 is just tivoli fake ones. Not even ancient Dolby ProLogic. But at the price. Happy with 2.1 It does the bang better than most inboards. (And yes, my pc is hookerd up to a real Hi-Fi system.. and where a sub starts at 12")
