Well played, Tristop amazing moves you've done to take down BlueScuti again! As for BlueScuti, don't give up-you'll get him next time. You're not just the first game crasher; you are a beacon of motivation that drives the community to excellence. Your light is just warming up again for your next shining moment, where you'll take down all the legends one by one and become the next world champion. You'll top it all by also becoming the first to rebirth 🐦‍🔥.

I respect what they are doing for Jonas. But using his name to try and keep DAS relevant is shameful. Jonas, RIP my dude. But this is just a participation trophy tournament.
@ITZsharky1
@ITZsharky1 10 күн бұрын
Permission was given to use his name by his family members if I'm not mistaken. And DAS is relevant in the online community. Playstyle tournaments and events do exist for a reason. You don't group all swimming categories into one in the Olympics. So kinda weird to call it a participation trophy when the tournament is not apart of the World Championships. Its its own event entirely
@LukeAWallace
@LukeAWallace 9 күн бұрын
@@ITZsharky1 Whether permission was given by his family or not Somebody on the CTWC staff had to ask that question to the family for the purpose of DAS. DAS did not start getting promoted like it did until Rolling came about. I do admit. There was a lot of up and coming players before Rolling. As for the thing about different play styles and that comparing to the Olympics is laughable. I never said DAS was apart of the world championship. I am simply stating that DAS was not promoted this hard until Rolling. Also you said DAS was not part of the World championship. Then why did you still have people at the last CTWC event enter the tournament and try to compete with the DAS style? Caught in a lie. I daresay DAS started to die off died when Joseph beat Jonas. It may not be part of the world championship but is still a participation trophy in the fact that you are promoting it like DAS is still hot and cool. It's out of style get over it.

@@LukeAWallace As far as the question to host a DAS tournament like the Jonas cup there were multiple things at play. One pertaining to CTWC and our relationship with PRGE and demand for a high stakes tournament for DAS in the states (Germany took claim to CTWC DAS which a lot of top players that can play DAS in the states cannot afford to go to) Since CTWC was no longer in PRGE there needed to be a tournament outside of just a standard regional to try and keep the relationship good with them. As far as DAS not really being promoted by the time rolling came out… well with what I can say the former CTWC team didn’t really promote much in general. DAS events has been a thing even before rolling. But if you weren’t in the discords then you wouldn’t know. Also because at the time CTWC was focused on other things than cultivating the online community. CTM takes credit for that. The comparison was simply to state that there a more ways to play the game just like there are more than one way to swim. Specifically I said that The “Jonas cup” is not related to the “World championship” tournament that happened in June this year. Which is in fact true so no lie there. People compete with whatever play style they are comfortable with. Yeah making the gold bracket is a big deal but also people go there for more than just the tournament. As far as DAS dying off I was more so official after 2020 when I placed 10th and Jonas 11th but that the sense of DAS dying at the pinnacle of competition and world record contention. Outside of that plenty played and still play DAS at the higher levels DAS at the highest level might not compare to rolling but the tournaments held for DAS reward any that can play the playstyle well. A lot of top rollers are also good DAS player (See fractal vs me at lone star championship when we both set a world record in a competitive game) It not a participation trophy one but simply a different trophy. The playstyle itself has attracted a lot of players no matter their main playstyle. You can look at CTM DAS masters event and look at the qualifying list. About 70% of people that qualify for the tournament are rolled mains. So yeah while DAS won’t ever be at the top again like it once was. And if you are trying to become a world champion or CTM Masters champion the I wouldn’t Recommend you main the playstyle for the entirety of your career. But people do appreciate the restrictions and ability to play well with the das mechanic not matter the main playstyle. I do appreciate the responses though and that you do know about the subject. Having good conversations on here is like I dime in a dozen lol
@LukeAWallace
@LukeAWallace 9 күн бұрын
@@ITZsharky1 So you are admitting what I said earlier. There were a lot of up and coming players before the new style took over. Now those that "were" up and coming now have to have their own segregated tournament to have that "shot at glory" but at a second rate. You guys can't say it because sponsors and everything. I understand that part completely. Can't mess with the bread. You also said that players wouldn't use that style their whole career. Then create a Minor League for the CTWC. But don't compare DAS to Rolling. There is a reason why the top people in the CTWC switch ed to Rolling. Because they want to win. The next time I see a DAS player win a mixed style world championship I will eat my words. I will be here waiting.
@ITZsharky1
@ITZsharky1 8 күн бұрын
@@LukeAWallace I think you might be getting something confused. As far as the DAS playstyle goes there was very few in 2020 that would be able to compete with tappers. The up and coming players were mostly tappers and most that currently play have gone with rolling. But the Jonas cup is not for the veteran players that were "up and coming". It is more so to determine the best play that can play DAS. Not the best DAS main. I brought up me and fractal playing in the DAS tournament at Lonestar as reference. In all honestly I think people are going to be surprised by all the non-das mains playing in the Jonas cup as most top rollers are good at multiple play styles That being said I think you misunderstood my argument(s) somewhere. I never said that DAS was at the same level as rolling, nor did I say DAS will or deserves to win a world championship. If the CTWC was S tier for and event then Jonas Cup would be A-B tier along side most regionals. In reference to playstyle I said that 'I don't recommend the DAS playstyle for the entirety of your career if you are trying to become a world champion' but most do start with DAS or tapping to build up fundamentals then move onto rolling when their stacking is at a level they deem fine for them.

We constantly talk about how nice, wholesome and welcoming the Classic Tetris community is and then a large part of the community shows their true colors the moment Kingsman announced Logan Paul's name. It's quite disappointing. We can't talk about how awesome our community is when half the community is talking about how they hate a new person coming into the scene. Almost the entire online community hated Logan Paul being there. But you know who overwhelmingly loved it? The players and the people at CTWC. The players didn't have an issue with Logan being there. None of the players are online complaining about Logan Paul or Palmer Luckey (CEO of ModRetro). The moment one of the players like Blue Scuti, Alex T, Dog, PixelAndy or Fractal say they don't like something, then I'll care. But if it's just a bunch of keyboard warriors hitting the dislike button, I couldn't care less.
