As soon as you said sourdough carrot cake, I had to pause and do some digging for recipes! I didn't find any that called for rye sourdough starter, but I will try it anyways. I will just use with regular wheat flour for the rest of the recipe. Thanks for the idea!

I worked, raised children, lived where my income was maximised, not where I wanted, my children grew up and left home, for a now unfathomable reason, I didn’t adjust my life or place of living or work. I had an epiphany. I moved to my favourite place, bought a house and made it what I want, I bought a boat, I sail. I bought a large plot of land and am planting it to a sustainable forest. I go literally weeks without talking to another human.

I’m like you. So sensitive and too much noise and busyness is overwhelming, and it’s normal and it’s ok. Some of us are made to live a simple life, where a cup of coffee and walk around the neighborhood is plenty! I don’t need fancy cafe coffee and I don’t need luxury. I just need a good pair of walking shoes and some soft music! Haha
