Watching the live version (with audience), I recall hearing laughter. And I thought they missed the mark. Missed what underlies. The tonefeel, not a joke, anymore than Sticks and Stones. Any more than Bad News from Home or Pretty Boy by Randy Newman. Seeing this and hearing the version on Non-secure Connection, I think confirms this perception. (Well, a bit of surreality and humor, but still, that foreboding.) A brilliant composition. I wish I knew enough about music to know what BH is doing with those chordal progressions starting at 3:40. and 5:05! And BH's expression at the end, his hand poised, then a bit of smile (his expression as if thinking: "well, that was okay, I can live with that"). I'm hoping that is his Steinway in his studio, he deserves that, exponentially. I will see if I can add something as a comment below - a wonderful documentary on Steinway - hoping that I don't get the dreaded "returned error" comment deletion by the KZbin monitor program.
