Erm, not a PT fat-shaming someone from TV? "Crazy, quite a large woman. Massive crazy woman." That's poor form. I also see one or two people criticising the PT's shape here. Disappointing.

Hi, does this apply to the level 2 RQF fitness instructor award by focus awards ?
@CreatePT3 ай бұрын
Hi, yes absolutely. The RQF set by awarding bodies is regulated by OFQUAL, so they all have to meet the same standard. This satisfies all criteria for OFQUAL.

Too much talking to him while he running. Good run is to concentrate and take control of your breathing. Not listening someone and trying to hear what he telling you.
@CreatePT8 ай бұрын
The treadmill was used as part of the warmup in this session, taking the client up to an RPE of 5 which for most people should be easy enough to continue talking. We'd recommend using the time during the warmup to continue building rapport with your client rather than leaving them to run in silence.

For the free weight part of the exam, how do you know which weight level to start with? You started with a 40kg for the deadlift here, but we wont know what our students 1RM is (and thank you for this video. Really helpful)
@CreatePT11 ай бұрын
Hi, glad the video was helpful! The weight you start at is all down to what you know about your client. If you have carried out a thorough consultation and they're experienced enough with lifting to know their 1RM then you can go off that. But if they're new to the gym you'll be building the weight gradually in line with what they're comfortable with. Start with an empty bar and gradually add weight.

Hello Sir. Can I ask a question? I hired a Personal Trainer because I want to have a effective Body Building Program, but then my trainer gave me 2 months Glute and Back workouts. I am a boy and my goal is to loss weight and improve thw shape of my muscles. Why does my trainer gave me a Glute and Squat exercises?

Hi, to be honest I'd recommend speaking to a new trainer. Doesn't sound like a very effective program regardless of your goals.

@@CreatePT Thank You for the feedback. I saw his other client, each of his client has a different routine workouts. I thought at first that this it is just a begginer's workout that he gave depends on his assessment. But when I saw your feedback I have now a second thought about him. This are the examples of workouts that he gave me. Hip Bridge, Leg Back Hook, Hip Twist Jump, Squat Walk.

Can I ask what your main tips are for the assessment? i’m being to panic as they don’t give much away with what you might be walking into!
@CreatePT Жыл бұрын
Hi Ally, strange they haven't given you much insight into what the assessment will include. Some general guidance: Try and be as relaxed/natural as possible and build a rapport with your client Remember to use the nasty principle for every exercise. Reinforce key teaching points and tell your client how well they are doing. If you can see a technique flaw, don’t be afraid to make adjustments

great instructional video, on loose weight would the coach not spot the client incase he gets in a bit of bother or assessing the client by walking around him looking at his body language and his form
@CreatePT Жыл бұрын
Yeah absolutely, if the movement and difficulty for the client require that you spot them then you should spot. In this video there is no way to spot a bent over row, and the dumbbell shoulder and chest press weren't heavy enough for the client to need a spot. But you may incorporate a squat or bench press into yours, possibly at a higher weight, so in those circumstances yes you should spot. And yes you should be walking around checking technique and body language from different angles like Josh does in this video.

how long should the main CV component last from building up to 5 rpe and then gradually up to 7 rpe. How many minutes?
@CreatePT Жыл бұрын
The main CV component should be around 20 mins long, the first 2-3 mins gradually build up to around 5 RPE, then around 15 mins of maintaining an RPE of between 6-8, followed by another 2-3 mins of cooling back down to an RPE of around 3.

for the free weight exercises do you need to do 2 free weight exercises then another 2 free weight exercises that require spotting or is it just 2 exercises?
@CreatePT Жыл бұрын
Hi Tilly, for the level 2 one to one induction you don't actually have to do any free weight exercises if it's not suitable for the client you've written the programme for. Ideally you'd have a mixture of resistance machines and free weights but you want it to be suitable for your client. The group induction does require 1 free weight exercise that is spotted and 1 has to showcase lifting the weights safely from the floor.

The PT doesn’t look like he keeps himself in shape. I personally wouldn’t take advice off someone that doesn’t practice wha they preach. Very strange.
@CreatePT Жыл бұрын
The body shape of a PT or any professional isn't reflective of their ability or knowledge as a coach. We teach our students to relate to clients from all backgrounds and abilities in a non-judgemental manner, if you're looking to become a coach this is something you should consider.

Hi Robert sorry for the late reply, missed your comment. You don't need to name every individual muscle, the client doesn't care if you're working the anterior deltoid, or the gastrocnemius. Just using generic terms like leg muscles or core etc is enough

@nivashangounden39172 жыл бұрын
How long is long duration?
@CreatePT2 жыл бұрын
Steady state cardio just refers to a consistent pace that you can hold for 20+ minutes. The "steady state" refers to the intensity being fixed, so perhaps holding a particular heart rate zone, or a set pace.
