I got my Mc number active without having a truck. I got only the $750,000 liability required, nothing else. I use the vin number to my 1/2 ton pick up as a place holder on the insurance. It is part of my business. Then I can lease my hotshot truck on to a carrier under there insurance. And my Mc number can age.
