I used this product last week on my fine curls. I styled on soaking wet hair in the shower. I have mixed feelings with this gel. I had long hold but felt my hair looked stringy.

Is it possible for you to go in with even less product? Or maybe try micro plopping after you applied the product and before you diffuse. I understand that you may have already been supper minimal in the first place; and in that case, this product just may not work for your hair. I know that can be a bummer to hear, and you may be frustrated having spent the money on the product.

Thank you for your kind comments. I love to know what I'm doing right and what I can improve on. As far as reviewing the Ouidad Advanced Climate Control (in the red bottle), I did do a review on that back in Aug 2022. It was a side-by-side compared with another gel. I also looked at how both the gels held up in the summer and the winter months. I might do an updated review next summer, but I will link that older video here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJO0dGR7ipmbjNk

It's been so long since I used these products that I don't remember a lot about them (I gave them away). I personally, generally use a gel first followed by a mousse. Hi there! So I just want to ask you something about masks.. how often do you do use moisture masks and protein masks? Do you do it on a schedule, OR when you clarify OR just by how your hair feels? This is something I haven't figured out yet..🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️😊
@lifeoffinecurls
@lifeoffinecurls 6 күн бұрын
I don't have a real schedule for when I deep condition/use a mask. I pretty much go on what may hair feels and how the curls are acting. This summer I have been clarifying about every 3-4 washes (and I wash about 2 times a week), then I use an old discontinued mask that is very moisturizing and has some protein. The quirk is, I don't leave it in for the suggested 15-20 minutes. Instead, I use it more as a regular rinse out conditioner; leaving it in for only 2-3 minutes. I'm mainly doing this just to use it up. It wouldn't be necessary for me to use a deep conditioner/mask that often otherwise. Basically, I would suggest not to worry about deep conditioning on a schedule, but rather base if off how your hair feels. If it feels dry and brittle, you may need a moisturizing deep conditioner. If your hair feels limp and your curls are stretched out, you could probably use a protein mask or maybe even a protein treatment. Your hair doesn't have to be these extremes, but if you know what your hair ideally feels like, then you can hopefully notice and correct with the best treatment before it becomes extreme. Hopefully this helps.

Ty! Did you know that Amazon is now selling a Bounce Curl Brush dupe? As low as $3.99. Very surprised! I recently bought the Scrunch It Brush. They are amazing! They just redesigned them and have them on sale for $12xx when you buy both. It gave me so much volume and definition. I am assuming that the volume came from the fact that the brush is barrel shaped. Not sure if that's the reason. But was pleased with the outcome. Blessings!

I’m looking for reviews on the leave in conditioner but haven’t found any. This is my second day using and both times I used I had a gumball size wade of hair come out both times which is not normal for me. I’m wondering if it’s the Marc Anthony leave in conditioner. It is too bad because I also bought the shampoo and a cream and loved them both.
@lifeoffinecurls
@lifeoffinecurls 18 күн бұрын
I typically have increased shedding in the fall, so it was probably due to that. Fall of 2023 I had my fall shedding cycle, but it wasn't as bad as previous years (I believe due to using the Briogeo Scalp Density Serum). I honestly don't think my personal experience had anything to do with the stylers I used. I can't speak to your situation, and I'm sorry you've experienced that. Increased hair shedding can also happen because of previous illness (that's happened to me) and/or internal vitamin or hormonal changes.

I do think that volume treatment made your hair look nice and full, for what it’s worth. I personally have found that some products like that seem to make hair look fuller or more dense rather than giving root lift or what we’d call volume. I think products like that would be liked by people who are self-conscious about scalp show maybe. Also, now that we have so many curly hair products to choose from for me it has become more about what brands/products give me the look to my curls that I want. As a bit of a product junkie myself, I think of each brand as having its own…how would I say…aesthetic identity? Haha. Some brands I use seem to really be focused on making curls as “tight” as they can be. Others seem to want to give really polished, round, big curl look. Still, others give me more piecey-ness and texture along with definition. It’s nice to have all these options now, as I totally remember being a kid and teen having very little to choose from (anyone else get out of the shower and literally only use Dep or LA looks gel 😩 to style), but it can also be frustrating because the only way to know what aesthetic result the products will give your curls is to try it out. I know I’m being long winded, but also WHY do curly products always seem pumped full of the strongest fragrance imaginable??? I was very interested in these products until I watched and you mentioned the strong, unpleasant scent. I can’t use Curlsmith products because of how strong their fragrances are for example. I get good result with them, but man the smell actually takes over my entire life. I can’t deal with it! Anyway, love your videos and hope you are well. ❤

Aww, thank you so much for watching. I loved reading all about your thoughts.
