I have the original book about Borley Rectory by Harry Price called the Most Haunted House in England f anyone would be interested in it. He certainly did an exhaustive investigation with the help of many credible participants

This is really good. She has been gone for nearly 15years. What a sad loss, but I’m glad to have heard this song. RIP. Lesley Duncan.♥️

The rat story at 26:30 is hilarious and adorable and gives you an idea about how nutty Ms. De Paul could be. I love this TV show. Lots of great LDP tidbits.

The words I have to say May be simple but they're true Until you give your love There's nothing more that we can do Love is the opening door Love is what we came here for No-one could offer you more Do you know what I mean? Have your eyes really seen? You say it's very hard To leave behind the life we knew But there's no other way And now it's really up to you Love is the key we must turn Truth is the flame we must burn Freedom the lesson we must learn Do you know what I mean? Have your eyes really seen? Love is the key we must turn Truth is the flame we must burn Freedom the lesson we must learn Do you know what I mean? Have your eyes really seen? Do you know what I mean? Have your eyes really seen?...

Really beautiful song Lesley it always touched me when it came on the radio. Elton John , David Bowie and Olivia Newton John also loved it and recorded it. As the writer, yours is the best version though.

This is originally from her Album "Everything Changes" she also did a duet of Love song with Elton John [ its on youtube also. Elton John also sang this on his Tumbleweed Connection album. Everything Changes is possibly her best Album. It contains other great songs such as "The Serf" among many others. I bought the Album in the 70's and it took me years to find on CD it was eventually released on CD in 2018 on the Celeste Record label. I still think its a great album.

This original mesmerized me when it first came out. It spoke to some deeper reality and wisdom. I wondered, "Who is this lady?" I never liked the covers of this song by other artists. By comparison they were cheesy, the magic was lost.

Very talented singer songwriter and very pretty, i liked her chart songs in the early 70's and i had a crush on her when i was about 10 or 12 ( In 1972-74) My sister Marie died of brain hemorrhage aged 36 in 1990 like Lynsey did ----------------- Lynsey de Paul was never married, but was known for being in relationships with Ringo Starr, Roy Wood, James Coburn, Sean Connery, Bill Kenwright, Bernie Taupin, Chas Chandler and Dudley Moore. Lynsey suffered a brain hemorrhage on the morning of the 1st October 2014, She died in a London hospital hours later, aged 66. ---------- The Guardian Author Bob Stanley came out with a wonderful great and fitting quote when he paid tribute to Lynsey de Paul when she died, he said, 'She stood out like a cut-glass decanter among milk bottles'' 👍 😁 👍

Such a stylishly feminine, very intelligent and obviously accomplished lady. In this wonderful little programme she proves the old saying that true beauty comes from within. May she rest in peace.

I didnt realise this lady originally wrote this exceptional track - honestly it's iconic. I absolutely love this track for the simplicity but I also love Newton-John's version because the producers really enhanced it but kept the integrity of this original track, includong the sound of the rain... ❤

RJ This song has haunted me for 50+ years I heard it 2 or 3 times in my late teens, I did't know the title or artist and annoying DJ's would fade it out and fade in to the next song, I never heard it again unti I switched channels and saw this obscure film "men " which I had also never heard of and it was playing in the intro ; took me back years to every girl I fell in love with.

I used to walk past that little Victorian estate at the bottom of Highgate every day after school in the 1970s. Sometimes I'd peer in through the hedge and occasionally I'd see Lynsay sitting outside here house reading something.

The title and the lyrics are purely romantic, and the song is beautiful. So it’s probably unintentional, but this song has a menacing Wicker Man vibe to be. Which makes me like it even more. It also sounds a bit like Stevie Nicks, long before Landslide or anything else.

Lynsey would have made a great companion on Doctor Who (the real series, not the reboot) in the 70s and 80s. I could see her as a charming and elegant companion alongside Jon Pertwee. A somewhat whimsical and comical companion alongside Tom Baker. A take charge and caring companion alongside Peter Davidson. A steady and reliable companion alongside Colin Baker. A free-spirited yet determined companion alongside Sylvester McCoy.

I can’t believe after all these years it took the movie Men for me for find her such an amazing songwriter and singer. Her story makes me a little sad because she is so talented but suffered from crippling performance anxiety so she never sought out the limelight . It sounds like her later years she was happy out of the business just gardening before her too soon passing.
