i agree. that particular VHS was damaged and the tape jammed. i only wish the greedy magic tape hoarders would share this and many clips which they have fully intact.

someone should upload the clip from British children's TV of the cabinet's originator, George Kovari, doing this with Andrea Boardman, even if it ends with camera tricks

apart from the Hollywood motifs towards the end, the two magicians makes this seem a little like an extract from the musical THE MAGIC SHOW

would have been nice to see the rest of the routine; he generally adds something different

a bit behind in my digitizing. might not be up for a few weeks. only clue is that it *won't* involve blades. but a classic illusion nonetheless.

Thank you for the nice comment. The pleasure is mine. Let's hope the greedy magic-clip hoarders (aka "tape traders") do the same (I'm not holding my breath). I am sure they have the Cartoon Networking sawing in their repertoire, among other great clips, that they will never share.
