Here in india we have 5 engineer for boiler desk, 4 for turbine and 3 for auxiliaries and a shift incharge( who just watch reels throughout ghe shift😂)

You need to be an outside operator first and understand the power plant. Then you can promote to a control room operator. No school or certificate can teach you how to work in that control room.

What quals do you have? I did a technical cert for control systems but in doing an engineering degree right now. Would I be able to get a job now or post grad?

Its 3600 for a 2 pole. 3600/60secs in a min = 60hz. 1800rpm for a 4pole. Other countries that operate at 50hz AC frequency are 3000 for a 2 pole and 1500 for a 4pole. I appreciate what you do for society 👍

Thanks for the tour. It's an awesome video. I've a question, is there a plan for expanding the plant? I mean constructing more boilers and turbines? At least 1 or 2 units should be there to support the current unit in case of trip or in case of shut down.

I'm a control room operator in a thermal power plant, steam turbine. Finally I've been promoted and became a supervisor. I like my job in the power plant and the turbines. 💕

@@ssmith2832 Read about science and technology and applications. Get a diploma in any chemical, mechanical or electrical degree. Better if you get an engineering degree. Wish you good luck 🙏

I’m assuming everything is live in that substation that you were showing in this video but the transformer that you were working on I’m assuming is disconnected through a switch and wiser you won’t be standing up there but other than that very cool very very cool I do electrical myself but I’ve always never really wanted to get into the high-voltage aspect of it but like anything you got to respect her as you said because you only get one chance especially with high-voltage so merry Christmas guys thanks for the video
