Damn good video worked for me. I do have a question tho... I bought a new actuator and hooked it up to the wiring harness only but did not put it in the gear slot with the door down. I am trying to figure what actually is at fault the acutator or the door/gate. What position must it be in to allow to the AC to work?
@isaacrepairseverything4 ай бұрын
@@mr.henderson3395 the recirculation door doesn't impact AC operation. This allows the HVAC blower to either draw air from the cowl/outside the car or from inside the car/recirculation. If you changed a blend air door actuator (hot/cold), I don't remember off hand for Pacifica, but whenever I do those I set to the most extreme hot or cold and go from there. The Pacifica actuator there uses a slot-follower and you do have to align that correctly before tightening it or you will not have hot or cold air when you request it.
@mr.henderson33954 ай бұрын
@@isaacrepairseverything so what is the purpose of the door being fully in the down positon or in the fully up position?
@isaacrepairseverything4 ай бұрын
@@mr.henderson3395 I do that so I know I will only have hot or cold air immediately when I put it back together and so I know that the position when assembling it is at one extreme position. I've just found it easier to do this way, but it isn't required.

You need vents at the bottom so air is drawn through the bottom vents as the hot air escapes the upper vents. I’m in Phoenix and my tough shed has 4 lower vents and a ridge vent and it is noticeably cooler when it is 113F.

How’d you get the whistling noise to be so loud? My supercharger is quiet :(
@isaacrepairseverything5 ай бұрын
It only did that on the first crank because I had the supercharger sitting on its side while I did the rest of the work, so once the oil made its way through the gears it quieted down (not long after the video ended). The smaller pulley spins it faster, so that will make some extra noise as well; but that isn't why it was so loud in the video.

I have a slight leak at the right side planetary semering. it is possible to run out of oil or the oil seal is above the recommended level. i changed the semring recently and it still squeals a little. I ask because the filler cap I see is about the same level as the planetary gear seal, knowing that the oil level is until it flows on the cap. thank you

A lot of videos on the passenger side actuator. But there is also a second actuator on the driver's side that can go bad. Wondering where there are videos on how to replace the driver's side actuator is.
@isaacrepairseverything6 ай бұрын
This isn't the passenger or driver blend air door actuator. The passenger one is on the left side of the passenger footwell area and I assume the driver one is opposite. This is the recirculation door actuator, which happens to be on the passenger side. If you need to change the passenger blend air door actuator, it is a different part number and it has a finger that rides a slot on an arm attached to the actuator. The process is the same except you need to make sure you align the slot and the finger. I haven't looked for videos on that though. I assume the driver side is the same.
@jawne73055 ай бұрын
@@isaacrepairseverything The driver's side is not the same unfortunately. I tried to remove it but there are like two levers being held together by the actuator. The actuator looks the same but if you try to pull it out, you have to also pull these levers that are being held down by it and I wasn't about to go down that rabbit hole from them possibly falling out and I not know how to put them by in. The one on the passenger side seems simple as it is not holding down other pieces that may fall out.

Hey man I’m following along from Canada thanks for your videos you did them really well. I have a 2011 Lr2 hse 3.2 and have done the transfer case and rear diff fluid through your videos. I just got all the seals to do trans fluid but might just get a shop to do it haha looks like a lot of work is it much harder than the others ?
@isaacrepairseverything6 ай бұрын
I'm not clear exactly which seal you a referring to, but the trans wasn't difficult to change the fluid in. It takes some time because you have to do it like six times and it would be easier to do if you have a machine that can evac and fill, as I imagine most shops would. It can quickly turn into a dirty job also. I have videos on how I did it, so gage if you are up to perform this or if it isn't worth your time.
