Very cool! I love the eyes piece, it’s so flowy. Did you make copies or are they all original? Just curious, cause you literally have hundreds of eyes there. Must have taken awhile to amass that collection. Since you have so many letters, have you considered making a collage with only letters? Really enjoy your style and the different doodles and collages you put in your awesome journals!

All original eyes!! I aaaalways save them. There is one ad that I’ve seen like fifty times in magazines so I happen to have the same pair of eyes in so much of my art lol it’s for an eye drop brand 😝 A letter collage is a GREAT idea…I especially have so many “E’s” lol…hmmm you’ve got me thinking! So glad you enjoy and thank you for watching 🥰

When I am pulling people they have to be easy to cut out (there are always exceptions to my rules). I look at the hands in particular. There were some great dancers that I would have picked because some had hands close to the body or their fingers were together or in a fist.

Oh my...these were like, nostalgic as heck. Love them. Reminds me a lot of notebooks I made in High School and my early 20's. I stopped making them for a while but recently got back into journaling with some decorating and now after watching your video I want to go back to full art journaling. Hi Kara, what a great looking book! I was trying to figure out what makes your pages so pleasing to my eye and realized that what I like is the white border you leave around your image. I tend to go right to the edges, which I do like, but sometimes it’s a pain cutting it to fit and keeping it neat. And, I really do like the look of the clean border. I’m one of those people who likes the look of white space, but has a hard time actually leaving any.😂

lol! The cutting honestly comes from practice and having a pair of scissors that have like, molded to my hand lol. For adhesives I use photo mounting squares, they’re really great and don’t damage the paper! I’m also scared of glue messing up the papers lol 😝
