[Verse 1] Keep yourself stupid Sip your victory, gin Wasting precious moments Ones which would fulfill Take all the empty promises You need to sleep Sedate yourself publicly As much as you need [Chorus] I'm waiting on a line This headache, this heartache It's just in time I'm waiting on a lie I found out, just in time [Verse 2] Smoke between our eyes The distance in your smile The tears you used to cry Haven't come out in a while Even as the seasons pass We drift further apart And even when the reason lacks you Never liked to start [Chorus] I'm waiting on a line This headache, this heartache It's just in time I'm waiting on a lie I found out, just in time [Bridge] I'm waiting on a line This headache, this heartache It's just in time I'm waiting on a lie I found out, just... in... time I'm waiting on a line This headache, this heartache It's just in time I'm waiting on a lie I found out! JUST, IN, TIME!

I understand if Erik felt he was repeating trauma replaying his older stuff, but I don’t understand why he doesn’t understand how a lot of us imprinted on it, and how it got us through tough times of our own. Nothing wrong with the community keeping alive the history in my opinion.

One thing I never thought I'd ever heard from (old-school) punks is criticism of production, and especially of Spot.
@asafoetidajones8181 Жыл бұрын
I love huskers and a great deal of the sst back catalogue. Candy apple grey was my first punk record, yard sale vinyl when I was 11. I've *always* thought spots shit was thin and tinny, and huskers succeeded on strength of songs despite it.
@daffyduck4674 Жыл бұрын
Spot’s production was pretty tinny, but the criticism of GHs stuff is different. It’s not all that different to a million other independent albums recorded on small budgets where people either appreciated the rough and ready sound or just focused on the quality of the music. Personally Mould’s highly compressed pristine production wore thin for me a long time ago.

This album is basically Grant Hart hearing Copper Blue and saying: “Y’know what? I should make this album, but with worse production!”

Which beats Bob hearing FUEL & thinking, you know what I could just make this record over and over and over with minor changes & people will keep buying it.
