Do you still happen to have the Desert Trax album from 1982? It has a song from a band called Giant Sandworms entitled “Not The Woman” which I would love to hear!

Pure chill. Makes me think of a perfect Summer's day. A condo, a convertible, and a beautiful wife. Pick your fantasy. Bill is one of the sickest artists around today, and the amount of subtle wizardry in his tracks is scary. Scary sickness. 👍👍🧙🏻‍♀️

. . . one of our SCB fans was attending Pima College and shot this as a final project for his film class I think . . . the original lead vocals on the Tucson Album version of this song are by Rick and BC, but the director used the wrong audio mix in post production and therefore when Mike Hatch and Gordy are singing on camera it's actually Rick and BC's voices . . . hilarious . . .

Hey Mike, I just saw you last night playing at BZ's restaurant. I put the connection together today. Loved the Street Pajama band and your set last night was no disappointment. In fact I was thoroughly impressed with your artistry. Look for Mike the King on Wednesday's at BZ's Italian Kitchen, 7856 E Wrightstown Rd, Tucson, AZ. Thanks Mike!

@artattackrecords1978

thanks Hypnopad ! In those days I would get the arrangement in my head and would play the drum tracks first (without click track) then add a pilot Wurlitzer Electric Piano to make sure I liked the arrangement and groove. Then I would overdub the ARP 2600 tracks. I may have still had an ELKA String Ensemble for some pads, but it's almost all the ARP 2600. This single was recorded on an AMPEX 440 1" 8 track and I used a Roland Space Echo (tape) and recorded effects as it went down. I'm not sure we even had a reverb unit for mix...the ARP 2600 has a built in spring reverb so that would be printed as well as the tracks were laid down. Thanks for listening and MERRY CHRISTMAS ! ! !
