Hey Phil. You have a written a blog where you said not to use onetrust cmp template. In the video, you said to use native cmp templates and not custom html. So my question is can we use onetrust template?

Great question! Onetrust have update their template to support language override. However, there is still not feature parity with custom HTML regarding sending tracking pings for of undecided users. For example the OneTrustUpdated sents unload rather than after an accept or deny. For this reason alone… it’s still safer to use custom HTML but I am hopeful they will update the template to remove the need for this work-around.

Thank you for the great video but I have one I’m important request sir, Please keep political opinion out of marketing videos. However If you want to go there….otherwise someone can point out how you stated Tay programmed a “bad bias…” yet the popularity of his account probably contributed to the weight that was given to his Tweets. Who decides what is the correct bias? Ones favored political party? Or “mainstream” outlets like CNN who don’t have a good history of accuracy whatsoever, think “WMD’s in Iraq, Hunter laptop being Russian disinformation, the vaccine was 100 percent effective, the virus didn’t one From a lab, and three years of Trump Russia conspiracy theories” so please please don’t bring politics into these marketing videos as it then draws all you say into question. Why would you insert your political views into a GA-4 video? PLEASE DON’T DO THAT!

Thanks Phwill and Navah! I just added gclid as a custom dimension to all my clients GA4 accounts. Hoping GA4 will now attribute more traffic to Google Ads and less to "direct / none". Google Ads and GA4 are connected and auto-tagging is turned on in Google Ads. Do I need to configure anything in GTM?

Your GTM should be fine if it's gclid - the only time you'd need to worry about configuration there is if it's g or wbraid

Hi J.J.! Can we use Azure DataLake and/or Azure Synapse to threshold the problem of GA4 API data limitations and connect data online (and even the offline one if all data are stored in data lake) from GA4 into looker studio and populate dashboards? It's something manageable and easy to do it for a marketer :)?
